MCPD Arrest Report 10/24/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 10/23/2018:

Stella Ross, 21 years of age, Address- Willow St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 10/23/2018 @ 1:49 pm.

Charge: Criminal Damage to Property

   Officers responded to a residence on Terrebonne St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with the victim, who stated that an individual identified as Stella Ross had damaged her vehicle. Reports indicate that Ross had taken an object and damaged the windows of the vehicle. Officers located Ross in the area and according to reports, admitted to damaging the vehicle. Ross was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Benjamin D. Vining, 22 years of age, Address-Nevada St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/23/2018 @ 7:25 pm.

Charge: Reckless Operation of a Vehicle
               Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense

   Officers responded to LA Hwy 70 in regards to a vehicle driving in a reckless manner. A description of the vehicle was given out and the vehicle was located on LA Hwy 70 near Fig St. swerving in and out the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Benjamin Vining was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Vining appeared intoxicated. Vining was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Vining was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Vining was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication but refused. A warrant was obtained to retrieve a blood sample from Vining. Vining was transported to a medical facility for the blood to be withdrawn. The results of the sample are pending. Vining was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Troy Rosson 10222018

Troy Rosson, 38 years of age, Address-Glenwood St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/22/2018 @ 8:38 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Mississippi Office of Probation & Parole
               Possession of Sch II CDS-Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   Troy Rosson was located on Glenwood St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Mississippi Office of Probation and Parole. Officers also located suspected methamphetamine that was packaged for sale along with drug paraphernalia in Rosson’s possession. Rosson transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Korianne Parker 10222018

Korianne M. Parker, 29 years of age, Address-Carol Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/22/2018 @ 11:56 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Possession of Sch II CDS-Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
               Warrant-Possession of Sch I CDS-Heroin
               Warrant-Possession of Sch IV CDS-Xanax
               Warrant-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   Korianne Parker was the driver of a vehicle involved in a traffic stop on LA Hwy 182. A warrant check revealed that Parker held active warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an incident in April that alleges Parker was one of the occupants of residence where suspected methamphetamine, heroin, pills identified as Xanax, and drug paraphernalia was located. Parker was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 133 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 10/19/2018:

Harrison Short, 52 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/19/2018 @ 9:50 am.

Charge: Warrant-Simple Battery
               Warrant- Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling

   Harrison Short was located on Mallard St. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an incident on October 3rd that alleges Short entered a home without permission and committed a battery on an individual. Short was booked and incarcerated.

Tre’veon Francois, 17 years of age, Address-Barrow St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/19/2018 @ 2:21 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile (misdemeanor)

   Tre’veon Francois was located on Hickory St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in April where it is alleged that Francois had inappropriate contact with a female 14 years of age. Francois was booked and incarcerated.

Riley R. Hall, 47 years of age, Address- Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/20/2018 @ 12:25 am.

Charge: No Tail Lamps
              Turning Movements and Required Signals
              Flight from an Officer
              No Driver’s License in Possession
              Possession of Marijuana
              Obstruction of Highway

   An officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 and Myrtle St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. According to reports, the officer attempted to make a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued to travel on to Myrtle. The vehicle was eventually stopped on Dale St. The driver identified as Riley Hall exited the vehicle. Reports indicate that suspected marijuana was located inside the vehicle. Hall was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Crystal Thompson 10202018

Crystal Thompson, 40 years of age, Address-Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/20/2018 @ 7:21 pm.

Charge: Possession of Sch II CDS Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
              Possession of Sch IV CDS –Clonazepam
              Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   Officers responded to a business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to an individual that was barred from the property. Officers arrived and made contact with the individual identified as Crystal Thompson. During the course of the investigation, officers located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale in Thompson’s purse, a pill identified as clonazepam, and drug paraphernalia. Thompson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  

Michael R. Mowery, 61 years of age, Address- Buna, TX was arrested on 10/20/2018 @ 2:07 am.

Charge:  Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
                Improper Lane Usage
                Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle
                Driving Under Suspension

   An officer in the area of Brashear Ave. and Fourth St. observed a vehicle traveling in the opposing lane swerving in and out of the lane.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Michael Mowery was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Mowery license was suspended. Reports also indicate that Mowery appeared intoxicated. Mowery was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test in which he performed poorly. Mowery was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Mowery was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication but refused. A search warrant was obtained to withdraw a sample of Mowery’s blood. Mowery was transported to a medical facility for the sample to be drawn. The results are pending. Mowery was then transported back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Anthony Broussard, 40 years of age, Address- Sulphur, La. was arrested on 10/20/2018 @ 6:45 pm.
Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense

     An officer responded to a vehicle crash in the parking lot of a local motel on Brashear Ave. The officer made contact with the driver, Anthony Broussard who had backed into a parked vehicle.  Reports indicate that Broussard appeared intoxicated.   Broussard was asked performed the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and performed poorly. Broussard was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Broussard submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded a .171g% of blood alcohol content. Broussard was booked and incarcerated.

Robert P. Stansbury Jr, 34 years of age, Address-Park Ridge Ave. Baton Rouge, La. was arrested on 10/20/2018 @ 9:45 pm.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
               Improper Lane Usage
              Turning Movements and Required Signals
              Resisting an Officer

     Officers responded to the area of Sixth and Franklin St. in regards to a possible impaired driver. A description of the vehicle was given out and the vehicle was located on Sixth St. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Robert Stansbury was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Stansbury did appear to be on some type of illegal narcotic. Stansbury did perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test but performed poorly. When trying to place Stansbury under arrest, he resisted officers but was later subdued. Stansbury was transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Stansbury submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded .000g%. Stansbury was then transported to a medical facility for blood to be withdrawn. Those results are pending. Stansbury was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
