MCPD Arrest Report 10/26/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 41 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/25/2017:

Kerry Lucas 10262017

Kerry Lucas, 56 years of age, address: Aucoin St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/25/2017 @ 4:18 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS W/I/T/D (Vyvanse)
                 Warrant: Criminal Trespassing

Patrol officers responded to the area of Front St. in regards to a suspicious subject. According to reports, officers arrived and Kerry Lucas was identified. During the investigation, it was learned that Lucas was in the area attempting to sell Vyvanse. Lucas was found to be in possession of suspected  Vyvanse to which he allegedly admitted to attempting to sell. It was also found that Lucas held an active arrest warrant held by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Lucas was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Sherry Whittington 10262017

Sherry R. Whittington, 55 years of age, address: Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/25/2017 @ 6:56 p.m.

Charges: Theft under $1,000
                 Disturbing the Peace

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Seventh St. in regards to a theft. According to reports, officers arrived and Sherry R. Whittington was identified as a subject involved. The victim had purchased items valued at $38.20 at one local business. The victim continued shopping at another business and placed the bag with the clerk. Allegedly Whittington, who was another patron in the business, obtained possession of the bag and left the business. Reports indicate that Whittington began to yell profanities at another local business in the area. Whittington was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Edward Briggs, 28 years of age, address: East Kruger St. West Wego, La., arrested on 10/25/2017 @ 8:30 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana

                 Driving under Suspension

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Edward Briggs was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Briggs’ Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Briggs was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Briggs was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Wayne Clark, 45 years of age, address: Lenny’s Lane Amelia, La., arrested on 10/25/2017 @ 10:01 p.m.

Charges: Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                 Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner in the area of Railroad Ave. According to reports, the vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving around other vehicles forcing them to the shoulder of the roadway. A stop was initiated and Wayne Clark was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Clark was found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage within the vehicle. Clark was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Toby Gros 10262017

Toby K. Gros, 19 years of age, address: Hwy 40 Napoleonville, La., arrested on 10/26/2017 @ 1:26 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Amphetamine/Detroamphetamine)
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Focalin XR)
                 Possession of SCH IV CDS (Alprazolam)
                 Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Improper Lighting
                 Registration Required

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Toby K. Gros was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Gros was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana, Amphetamine/Detroamphetamine, Focalin XR, Alprazolam, and Drug Paraphernalia. Gros was unable to provide officers with a valid prescription for the medication that was located. It was also found during the investigation that the registration on the vehicle Gros was operating had been canceled. Gros was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 42 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/23/2017:

Cheyenne H. Aucoin, 23 years of age, address: Main St. Franklin, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 9:00 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Cheyenne H. Aucoin was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Aucoin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Christopher Sylvester, 21 years of age, address: Short St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 9:27 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Christopher Sylvester was located and arrested in the area of Mallard St. on an active arrest warrant through the Louisiana Probation and Parole. Sylvester was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Joshua A. Falgout, 38 years of age, address: Sycamore St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 10:13 a.m.

Charges: F.T.A. for Trial on 08/17/2017

Joshua A. Falgout was located and arrested at the George County Correctional Center in Lucedale, Mississippi on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Falgout was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Brian H. Henderson, 34 years of age, address: Utah St. Berwick, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 7:35 p.m.

Joseph Cagnolatti, 22 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 7:35 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner crossing the center line into the opposing lane of travel in the area of LA 182. Investigators attempted to initiate a stop at which time the vehicle crossed into Berwick failing to stop. The vehicle came to a stop on Utah St. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Brian H Henderson. Joseph Cagnolatti was an occupant in the vehicle. According to reports, Henderson’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. The duo was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Henderson and Cagnolatti were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Lori F. Thibodeaux, 34 years of age, address: Southland Circle Houma, La., arrested on 10/23/2017 @ 9:39 p.m.

Charges: Prostitution-Solicitation

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division received information in regards to prostitution in the Morgan City Area. During the investigation, Lori F. Thibodeaux was identified as a suspect. According to reports, evidence was uncovered linking Thibodeaux to prostitution. Thibodeaux agreed to meet investigators at a local hotel in the Morgan City Area. Thibodeaux was taken into custody in the area of MLK Blvd. Thibodeaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Christian Busienlle 10242017

Christian E. Businelle, 20 years of age, address: Versen St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/24/2017 @ 2:16 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 False Representation of a CDS
                 Obstruction of Justice

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. in an erratic manner crossing the center line into the opposing lane of travel. According to reports, officers attempted to initiate a stop at which time the vehicle fled from officers. The vehicle crossed over the LA 182 Bridge into Berwick at speeds much higher than the posted speed limit. The vehicle traveled west onto US 90 at dangerous speeds causing vehicles off the roadway,  disregarding traffic controls and negotiating improper turns. The vehicle entered upon LA 317 in the Centerville area and turned into an apartment complex in the area. The vehicle then attempted to exit the complex striking a stop sign coming to a stop. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted with the stop. Two subjects were taken into custody. Chris M. Smith Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle and Christian E. Businelle was identified as an occupant. Reports indicate that Smith and Businelle were found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and suspected rock salt which was purported to be Methamphetamine. Evidence was also uncovered that Businelle destroyed suspected marijuana during the investigation. Smith was found to have an active arrest warrant through the Louisiana Probation and Parole. Smith and Businelle were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 36 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/19/2017:

Nicole M. Atkinson, 32 years of age, address: Keith St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/19/2017 @ 2:00 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Nicole M. Atkinson was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department for an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Atkinson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

John K. Buck Jr., 30 years of age, address: Ricohoc Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/19/2017 @ 3:29 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Battery
                 Warrant: Criminal Damage to Property

John K. Buck Jr. was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 30, 2017, when they responded to a local business in the area of Victor II Blvd in regards to a disturbance. According to reports, John K. Buck Jr. was identified as one of the subjects involved. Allegedly Buck struck the victim and damaged a cellular device during the altercation. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Buck’s arrest. Buck was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Elliot Broussard, 54 years of age, address: Texas St. Lafayette, La., arrested on 10/19/2017 @ 7:30 p.m.

Charges: Resisting an Officer
                 Open Container

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division were patrolling the area of Fifth St. when they detected an odor of marijuana emitting from a vehicle parked in the area. Investigators came in contact with the subjects at which time one of the subjects fled on foot. The subject was apprehended after a short chase and identified as Elliot Broussard. Broussard was found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage. Broussard was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Ronald L. Johnson, 54 years of age, address: South Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/19/2017 @ 8:03 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana

Patrol officers came in contact with Ronald L. Johnson in the area of Second St. According to reports, Johnson was found to be in possession of marijuana. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Lia Evans, 27 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/19/2017 @ 10:37 p.m.

Patrol officers were standing by with a wrecker truck due to an unrelated incident in the area of Railroad Ave.  when a vehicle was observed crossing the center line into the lane that the officers were positioned almost striking the officer. Officers attempted to initiate at stop at which time the vehicle continued and failed to stop. The vehicle eventually pulled over into a local business in the area of LA 182. Lia Evans was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Evans was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Evans was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Rahem D. Robertson, 23 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/20/2017 @ 3:17 a.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Disregard of Traffic Controls

Patrol officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at a traffic control in the area of LA 182. A stop was initiated and Rahem D. Robertson was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Robertson’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Robertson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Michelle Brown, 45 years of age, address: Eighth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/14/2017 @ 4:00 p.m.

Charges: Criminal Damage to Property

Corrections officers with the Morgan City Police Department responded to the cell block of the Morgan City Jail due to a disturbance. According to reports, Michelle Brown damaged the phone in her cell. Brown was additionally charged and booked into the Morgan City Jail where she remains incarcerated.

Harry Irvin Jr., 51 years of age, address: Garber St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/24/2017 @ 10:50 a.m.

Harry Irvin Jr. was located and arrested in the area of Orange St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Louisiana Probation and Parole. Irvin was transported to the Morgan City  Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Alyssa Ashmore, 27 years of age, address: Third St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/24/2017 @ 12:21 p.m.

Mandy Hatfield was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 30, 2017, when they responded to a residence in the area of Florence in regards to a subject who was unconscious. According to reports, officers arrived and Hatfield was identified as the subject involved. Hatfield was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Alprazolam, and Metronidazole. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Hatfield’s arrest. Hatfield was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 116 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/20/2017:

Joshua S. Miller, 21 years of age, address: Boudreaux St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/20/2017 @ 5:10 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Marijuana
                 Warrant: Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Joshua S. Miller was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division on April 26, 2017, when investigators initiated a stop on a vehicle in which Miller was a passenger in the area of Third St. According to reports, Miller was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Miller’s arrest. Miller was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Larry Washington, 38 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/21/2017 @ 12:00 a.m.

                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fifth St. in regards to gunshots possibly fired. Officers arrived and a description of a subject was obtained walking from the area. According to reports, officers observed a subject fitting that description in the area of Fourth St. A stop was initiated and Larry Washington was identified. Washington was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Washington was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Gregory K. Gober Jr., 29 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/21/2017 @ 4:40 p.m.

                 Improper Turning

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Freret St. negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated in and Gregory K. Gober Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Gober was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and records indicated that he had been ticketed in the past for the same offense. Gober was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Clarence J. Charles, 30 years of age, address: Walis St. Houma, La., arrested on 10/21/2017 @ 6:40 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension

Patrol officers responded to the area of Catherine St. in regards to a vehicle that kept traveling through the area in a suspicious manner. A description of the vehicle was obtained and a vehicle fitting that description was located in the area of Catherine St. A stop was initiated and Clarence J. Charles was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Charles’ Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Charles was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Keith M. Landry, 52 years of age, address: Cyril St. Pierre Part, La., arrested on 10/22/2017 at 12:59 a.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Open Container

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of MLK Blvd. in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated and Keith M. Landry was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Landry was found to be in an intoxicated state. Landry performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Landry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Landry submitted to Chemical Test resulting in .215g% blood alcohol content. Landry was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Timothy K. Meredith, 44 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/22/2017 @ 7:22 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 03/29/2016 (2 counts)

Timothy K. Meredith was located and arrested in the area of Railroad Ave. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Meredith was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

                 Wrong Way on a One Way

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Glenwood Street traveling the wrong way of travel during school zone hours. A stop was initiated and Deirdre L. Martin was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Martin’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Martin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Brian Delaune 10192017

Brian Delaune, 32 years of age, address: Bush St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/18/2017 @ 1:38 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Stolen Things over $25,000

Brian Delaune was located and arrested at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Detention Center on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division on September 8, 2017, in regards to a burglary. According to reports, Delaune was developed as a suspect during the investigation. Evidence was uncovered linking Delaune to possessing the property after the burglary had occurred. Warrants were prepared for Delaune's arrest. Delaune was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. The investigation is still ongoing. 

Ke’Sean M. Francois, 17 years of age, address: Park St. Patterson, La., arrested on 10/18/2017 @ 3:55 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Theft under $1,000

Ke’Sean M. Francois was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on September 28, 2017, when patrol officers responded to the area of Maple St. in regards to a Theft. During the investigation Ke’Sean M. Francois was developed as a suspect. According to reports, Francois allegedly had stolen an item from the victim valued at $256 dollars. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Francois’ arrest. Francois was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of South Railroad Ave. in regards to a disturbance. According to report, Anthony Maize was identified as one of the subjects involved. Allegedly Maize had approached the victim at their residence and began to yell profanities and threaten them. Maize was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Quentin T. Delco, 35 years of age, address: Bowman St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/19/2017 @ 1:55 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH I CDS (Synthetic Marijuana)

Patrol officers came in contact with Quentin T. Delco in the area of Federal Ave. According to reports, Delco was found to be in possession of Synthetic Marijuana. It was also found during the investigation that Delco was coming from a residence in Jacquet Homes. Delco is barred from entering upon any Housing Authority Properties. The area where this incident had taken place is within a Drug-Free Zone. Delco was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
