Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 28 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 10/10/2017:

Deirdre L. Martin, 43 years of age, address: Prarie Rd. Franklin, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 2:23 p.m.

Charges: Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling

Elizabeth Toups, 33 years of age, address: Halsey St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 2:23 p.m.

Charges: Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of Fourth St. in regards to subjects being inside of a residence and the homeowner was not there. Officers arrived and according to reports, Deirdre L. Martin and Elizabeth Toups were located at the residence. Contact was made with the homeowner when it was found that the duo did not have permission to be in the residence. Martin and Toups were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Tyler Dehart, 23 years of age, address: Union St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 4:03 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports, James P. Anslem and Tyler Dehart were identified as two of the subjects involved. During the investigation, Anslem was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia and Dehart was found to be in possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Anslem and Dehart were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Deonte D. Harris, 20 years of age, address: Lake Palourde Rd. Amelia, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 4:30 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 09/26/2017

Deonte D. Harris was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Harris was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Crystal Thompson, 39 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/10/2017 @ 6:07 p.m.

Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Crystal Thompson was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on August 20, 2017, when Thompson was found to be in possession of suspected Hydrocodone, Diazepam, and Drug Paraphernalia. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Thompson’s arrest. Thompson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Abram M. Granger Jr., address: Apple St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/11/2017 @ 1:31 a.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. and one of the occupants of the vehicle was not properly restrained. A stop was initiated and Abram M. Granger Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Granger Jr. did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. He was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Granger Jr. was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated

Brodie Boudreaux, 23 years of age, address: McDermott Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/06/2017 @ 8:38 a.m.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division came in contact with Lawrence A Garret and Brodie Boudreaux at a local motel in the area of LA 182. According to reports, Garrett and Boudreaux were found to be in possession of suspected Synthetic Marijuana. Garrett was also found to be in possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Garrett and Boudreaux were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Troy S. Carswell, 47 years of age, address: Lottie Ln. Grovetown, GA., arrested on 10/06/2017 @ 12:46 p.m.

Charges: Sexual Battery
Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a suspicious subject. Officers arrived and Troy S. Carswell was identified. According to reports, Carswell was found to be in an intoxicated state. It was also found during the investigation that Carswell allegedly committed a sexual battery on a female while in the establishment. Carswell was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Ashley Clark, 32 years of age, address: Ricohoc, La., arrested on 10/06/2017 @ 3:39 p.m.

Charges: Theft by Shoplifting

Patrol officers responded to a business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and Ashley Clark was identified. Clark allegedly had taken merchandise valued at $689.94 with out purchasing it. Clark was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

David A. Turner, 26 years of age, address: Monarch St. Houma, La., arrested on 10/07/2017 @ 1:06 a.m.

Patrol officers responded to the area of McDermott Dr. in regards to a suspicious subject. According to reports, officers arrived and Brittan M. Boudreaux was identified. It was found that Boudreaux held several active arrest warrants through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Boudreaux was also found to be in possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Boudreaux was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Travis Hayes, 38 years of age, address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/07/2017 @ 1:33 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Assault

Travis Hayes was located and arrested in the area of Sixth St. on an active warrant for his arrest held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 29, 2017, when Hayes allegedly committed an assault on the victim. Hayes had already departed the area, therefore, a warrant was prepared for his arrest. Hayes was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Second St. in regards to two subjects arguing in the roadway. According to reports, officers arrived and Stephen and Roslyn Cortez were identified as the two subjects arguing. Stephen and Roslyn were both found to be in an intoxicated state. Stephen and Roslyn were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

John Gibson, 53 years of age, address: Oak St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/07/2017 @ 11:31 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 07/21/2015

John Gibson located and arrested in the area of Oak St. on an active warrant for his arrest held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Gibson was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 swerving from lane to lane. The vehicle was also observed negotiating an improper turn. A stop was initiated and Santos Rivera was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Rivera was found to be in an intoxicated state. It was also found that Rivera did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and he was in possession of an open container of alcohol in the motor vehicle. Rivera was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he refused. Rivera was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Alex Francois, 38 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/08/2017 @ 4:19 a.m.

Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a narcotics complaint. According to reports, officers arrived and Alex Francois was identified. Francois was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Francois was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jose M. Aleman, 46 years of age, address: Spruce St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/085/2017 @ 10:54 a.m.

Charges: Improper Turning

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of LA 182. A stop was initiated and Jose M. Aleman was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Aleman was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Aleman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jacob N. Klenert was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City and 16^th Judicial Courts. Klenert was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Sarah N. Pierce, 23 years of age, address: Lawson St. Austin, TX., arrested on 10/08/2017 @ 5:15 p.m.

Charges: Battery on a Correctional Officer

Correction Officers were dealing with Sarah N. Pierce during a standard move from one cell to another while she was incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail. According to reports, while placing Pierce into handcuffs she pulled away and allegedly struck a correctional officer. Pierce was charged and incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail.

Jeremy E. Gamble Jr., 19 years of age, address: Elaine St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/04/2017 @ 8:59 a.m.

Charges: Accessory After The Fact To Simple Burglary

Jeremy E. Gamble Jr. was located and arrested at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on an active warrant for his arrest held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division when a burglary was reported in the area of Front Street. Jeremy E. Gamble Jr. was developed as a suspect during the investigation. Evidence was uncovered linking Gamble to actions after the burglary occurred in the disposal of the items that were taken. The investigation is ongoing. Gamble was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kelly J. Bolton, 69 years of age, address: Leona St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/04/2017 @ 1:00 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 01/08/2004

Kelly J. Bolton was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on an active warrant for his arrest held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Bolton was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Lawrence J. Rebardi Jr., 53 years of age, address: Duke St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 5:25 a.m.

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of Eighth St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and Lawrence J. Rebardi Jr. was identified as one of the subjects involved. It was learned during the investigation that Rebardi was causing a disturbance at the residence. Rebardi was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a narcotics complaint. According to reports, Angela Rhodes was one of the subjects involved. Rhodes was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine. Rhodes was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Harmanpreet Kaur, 29 years of age, address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/09/2017 3:30 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Over the past several month's investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted an investigation into the sales of drug paraphernalia from a local business. The items being sold were allegedly being portrayed as being used in the consumption of illicit drugs. During that investigation, Harmanpreet Kaur was developed as a suspect. A warrant was prepared for Kaur’s arrest. Kaur was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated into the Morgan City Jail.

Eric W. Robertson, 54 years of age, address: Mallard St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/09/2017 @ 3:43 p.m.

Charges: Resisting an Officer

Patrol officers observed a subject acting in a suspicious nature in the area of Mount St. Officers attempted to speak with the subject at which time he fled on foot. The subject was apprehended a short time later. Robertson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Erica Pederson, 37 years of age, address: Domino St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/09/2017 @ 7:04

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Victor II Blvd. in regards to a subject sleeping in a vehicle. Officers arrived and Erica Pederson was identified. According to reports, Pederson was found to be in possession of suspected Alprazolam and Buprenorphine. Pederson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Mike W. Stelter, 37 years of age, address: Egle St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/09/2017 @ 8:12 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Mike W. Stelter was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on an active arrest warrant held by the 16^th Judicial Court. Stelter was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Clarence Francois was transported from Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6^th Ward City Court. Francois was booked and incarcerated.

Kayla M. Francise, 19 years of age, Address- Keith St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 4:20 pm.

Charge- Warrant- Contempt of Court

Kayla Francise was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City. Francise was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Tommy D. Morgan, 28 years of age, Address- Bellanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 4:05 pm.

Tommy Morgan was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in September of 2017, which alleges that Morgan attempted to falsify a drug test. Morgan also held active warrants for the 6^th Ward City Court. Morgan was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

   Franklin Pearce was located at Duke St. residence and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an investigation of a burglary of a local business in September of 2017, in which Pearce is alleged to have stolen items from the business. Pearce was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Patricia Savoie, 46 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/05/2017 @ 9:21 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Telephone Harassment

Officers located Patricia Savoie on Victor II Blvd, a warrant check was done and it was determined that she held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. Savoie was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Julio C. Perez, 35 years of age, Address- Lenny’s Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 10/06/2017 @ 12:08 am.

An officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Pecos St., observed a vehicle swerving in the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Julio Perez was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Perez appeared intoxicated. Perez was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, in which he performed poorly. Perez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Perez was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. Perez’s results yielded .110 g% blood alcohol content. Perez was booked and incarcerated.

Trey D. Elliott, 27 years of age, Address- Benton, La. was arrested on 10/06/2017 @ 2:06 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 2^nd Offense

     A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Roderick St. observed a vehicle cross the center line of the roadway several times. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Trey Elliot. Reports indicate that Elliot appeared intoxicated. Elliot was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he refused. Elliot was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, he was asked to submit to the chemical test for intoxication, Elliot refused. Elliot was then booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of Pecos St. A stop was initiated and Andres Zuniga-Varela was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Zuniga-Varela’s Louisiana Drivers was found to be under suspension. Zuniga-Varela was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Peter E. Grogan Jr., 39 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 10/03/2017 @ 2:27 p.m.

Charges: Entry or Remaining After Being Forbidden (4 Counts)

Peter E. Grogan Jr. was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on September 22, 2017, when it was learned that Grogan had entered the property of two residences in the area of Railroad Ave. on multiple occasions. Grogan had already been barred from the property by the landowner. The investigation continued and evidence was uncovered linking Grogan to the crime.Warrants were prepared for Grogan's arrest. Grogan was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
