Officers located Garland J. Romero on Bernice St. on an active warrant held by City Court of Morgan City. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

An officer observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations and conducted a traffic stop on HWY LA 70. The driver was identified as Laqwajhia Bourgeois. During the traffic stop, Bourgeois refused to comply with officers and cause a disturbance by using loud profanities. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Dontreka Marshrieka Tillman, 22 years of age, Address-Grizzaffi St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/29/2019 @ 4:50 P.M.  Charge: Warrants-Home Invasion
                              Criminal Damage to Property less than $1,000.00 (2 Counts) 

Officers came into contact with Dontreka Tillman on Marguerite St. A warrant's check revealed Morgan City Police Department held active warrants for her arrest.  The warrants stem from an incident on February 21, 2019. The complainant alleges Dontreka Tillman entered a Cardinal St. address armed with a knife and damaged several items on the property. A warrant for her arrest was obtained from the February incident. She was placed under arrest on the active warrant and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kane Alexander Wiggins, 26 years of age, Address-HWY 182, Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4-29-2019 @ 8:15 P.M. 

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Officers were dispatched to a Ninth St. business in reference to an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. Upon officers arriving they came into contact with Kane Alexander Wiggins who was passed out inside the business. Officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and suspected impairment. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

                             Illegal use of CDS in the Presence of a person under 21

Darrell Riggins was located in City Court of Morgan City and placed under arrest on an active warrant held by Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from August 9, 2018, investigation when officers came into contact with Darrell Riggins. During the investigation, he was found to be in possession of suspect marijuana. At the conclusion of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Riggins.  He was booked and incarcerated.

               Warrant for Probation and Parole Violation

Officers were called to the area of Sixth St. and Louisa St. in reference to Robert Ballance being in the area and was wanted by Probation and Parole. Upon officers arriving in the area Balance attempted to discard a bag of suspected marijuana. Ballance was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 90 for a traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop, officers located a bag of suspected methamphetamine on a passenger identified as Karen D. Ledet. She was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

A warrant checked revealed Morgan City Police Department held an active warrant for his arrest. Thepsavahn Phongsavanh, 57 years of age, Address- Wsyl Lane, Amelia, La., was arrested 4/26/2019 @ 9:53 P.M.  Charge: Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle 
               Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense)

Officers were dispatched to the area of Front St. and Ann St. in reference to a single vehicle crash. Upon officers arriving they identified the driver as Thepsavahn Phongsavanh. Officers learned Phongsavanh lost control of his vehicle striking the seawall on Front St. Officer suspected driver impairment and he was given a field sobriety test which he performed poorly on. Phongsavanh was placed under arrest and transported to a medical facility where he submitted a blood test for intoxication. He was then transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. Phongsavahn's blood test results are pending at this time.

Officers were dispatched to Terrebonne St. in reference to a disturbance. Upon officers arriving on the scene, Officers witnessed Destiny N. Destiny N.Escort  and a 17-year-old juvenile involved in a verbal argument. When officers attempted to separate them the 17-year-old juvenile stuck an officer.  Both Escort and the juvenile was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking.

Bryan P. Scully, 56 years of age, Address-Pecan St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/27/2019 @ 5:00 P.M. 

Charge: Warrants-Principal to Hit and Run 

Bryan Scully was located at St. Mary L.E.C. on an active warrant held by Morgan City Police Department. The incident stems from a March, 9th, 2019 crash investigation. It was learned from the investigation Bryan Scully was a passenger in a vehicle involved in the crash that fled the scene.  The driver informed investigators Mr. Scully advised them to leave the scene and not to report the crash. He was booked and incarcerated.

Officers came into contact with Kayla Francise on Housing Authority Property in Shannon Homes. It was learned Francise had been previously barred from Housing Authority Property. She was arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jose Cornelio Lopez, 21 years of age, Address-Egle St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/28/2019 8:10 A.M. 

Charge: Hit and Run
               No Driver's License

Officers were dispatched to the area of Pine St. and Sixth St. in reference to a single vehicle crash. Upon officers arriving they learned a vehicle had left the roadway striking a street sign and shrubs before fleeing the scene. Officers were able to later locate the vehicle and driver, Jose Lopez. A computer check revealed Jose Lopez did not possess a valid driver's license. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jonicia Keara Polidore, 27 years of age, Address-12th St., Franklin, La., was arrested on 4/24/2019 @ 11:07 P.M.  Charge: Improper Lane Usage 
               Expired License Plate
               Resisting an Officer 
               Possession of Marijuana 

An officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on HWY 182. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Jonicia Polidore. During the traffic stop, the officer could detect the odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A police K-9 was summoned to the traffic stop and was deployed around the exterior of the vehicle. The K-9 confirmed the presence of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana was located. Polidore interfered with officers while officers were attempting to collect the suspected marijuana. She was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers were dispatched to a Cardinal St. address in reference to a domestic abuse battery complaint. Upon officers arriving they spoke to the victim and learned her boyfriend, Kiethen Humphrey, had committed a battery on her and damaged her vehicle. Officers located and arrested Humphrey on the scene.  He was transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
