Officers came into contact with Jerry L. Favors on Railroad Ave. A warrant checked revealed active warrants were held for arrest by City Court of Morgan City and Patterson Police Department. He as placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Roman Bayda, 41 years of age, Address-Amber Ave., Rowett, Tx., was arrested on 4/2/2019 @ 11:14 P.M. 

Charge: Turn Signal Violation 
               Possession of Marijuana (1st Offense)

An Officer on patrol observed a vehicle commit a turn signal violation on HWY 182. The officer conducted a traffic stop on Sandra St. and identified the driver as Roman Bayda. During the traffic stop, suspected marijuana was located in Bayda possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department.

Officers conducting an investigation of illegal narcotic activity at a local motel on HWY 182 came into contact with Brett Bagliardi. During the investigation officers located suspected marijuana in his possession. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Charge: Warrants- Failure to Appear (3 Counts)

Joseph Skipper, 64 years of age, Address-27^th Ave., Glendale, Ar., was arrested on 3/29/2019 @ 4:10 P.M.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial

Officers responding to narcotic activity on Mallard St. came into contact with SirTerrence Skipper, Nikita Smith, and Joseph Skipper. A warrant check revealed SirTerrence Skipper, Nikita Smith, and Joseph Skipper held active warrants for their arrest. When officers attempted to arrest SirTerrance Skipper he fled on foot from officers. Pursuing officers were able to take SirTerrance into custody after a brief foot chase. SirTerrence Skipper, Nikita Smith, and Joseph Skipper were transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking. Once at Morgan City Police Department Officers located suspected marijuana and MDMA concealed in SirTerrance socks. SirTerrance attempted to discard the suspected Marijuana and MDMA while officers were searching him. During the booking process, it was revealed SirTerrance was a fugitive from Probation and Parole in Indiana. He was booked and incarcerated. Nikita Smith and Joseph Skipper were also booked and incarcerated on warrants held by City Court of Morgan City

An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brashear Ave. and 8^th St. The driver was identified as Nikke Mayon and the passenger was identified as Raymond Miller. A warrant check revealed City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for both Mayon and Miller. They were placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers investigating a crash on US 90 East Federal Ave. down ramp learned Juan Feliciano was the driver of a vehicle that has struck another vehicle on the down ramp. Officers observed there were two small children in his vehicle that were not properly restrained. Officers suspected impairment at which time he was given a field sobriety test which he performed poorly on. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department. Once at MCPD he was given an intoxilyzer test and gave a breath sample of 212.g%. He was booked and incarcerated.

During the investigation, Fabre was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Charge: Disturbing the Peace by Appearing in Public Intoxicated

An officer of the Morgan City Police Department observed a suspicious subjected on Maple St. The officer attempted to make contact with the subject but before the officer could initiate the stop, the male subject was able to elude the officer hiding in the residential area. A short time later the male subject was located leaving the area between Spruce St. and HWY LA 70. He was detained by officers and identified as Christopher L. Pike. Officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and appeared in an intoxicated condition. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

An Officer observed a vehicle traveling on HWY 182 without operating tail lights. The Officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Gerian E. Lightfoot. During the traffic stop, Lightfoot was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Lorelyn Marie Gotcher, 33 years of age, Address-Terrebonne St., Morgan City, La., was arrested on 4/1/2019 @ 3:10 P.M. 

Charge: Remaining after Forbidden 

Officers responded to Bowman St. residence in reference to a person refusing to leave the property. Upon the officer arriving they located Loyelyn Gotcher on the property and was identified by the complainant as the person refusing to leave. Officers also learned Gotcher had been previously banned from the property. She was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers responded to a suspicious person attempting to enter an abandoned residence on Second St. Officers arrived and located Cassie Rankin inside the abandoned residence. Upon officers coming into contact with Rankin they suspected she was impaired and verified she trespassing on the property. She was placed under arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

An officer conducting a traffic stop on Allison St. came into contact with Meagen L. Jumper. A warrants check revealed an active warrant held by City Court for her arrest. Jumper was placed under arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. 

Juvenile - 14 Years of Age, was arrested on 3/26/2019 @ 5:38 P.M. 

Charge-Terrorizing

Morgan City Police Department received information about a threat being made on social media involving a student at Morgan City Junior High on March 26, 2019. The Morgan City Police Department was notified by school officials after the threat was brought to their attention. Officers and Detectives of the Morgan City Police Department began their investigation and were able to identify the juvenile in question. It was learned the juvenile made threats on a social media account in recent days. The juvenile was arrested and released pending court action.
