Officers conducted a traffic stop on Martin Luther King Blvd and Amber St. and identified the driver as Seth M. Ray. Officers also identified the passenger as Dawson P Ruiz. During the traffic stop officers located suspected marijuana, methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia in Ray's possession. Officers observed Ruiz ingesting some suspected marijuana in his possession. Officers also located suspected drug paraphernalia in Ruiz's possession. Both Ray and Ruiz were placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City for booking and incarceration.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Belanger St. and Front St. in reference to a theft of a cab fare. Upon officers arriving they learned from the victim that Rochella Williams owed $12.00 cab fare and had no intent to pay for the cab fare.                Transaction Involving Proceeds from Drug Transactions

Narcotic Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department conducting an investigation came into contact with Eric S. Stelly in a parking lot on Martin Luther King Blvd. During the investigation Detectives located suspected marijuana which was intended for sale in the Morgan City area. Detectives also seized $492.00 in U.S. Currency which was suspected sales from illegal narcotics. Stelly was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Narcotic Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on March 12, 2019, which Brent M. Dalton was a passenger in. The vehicle fled from detectives into Berwick, La. and eventually stop in a parking lot in Berwick. While the vehicle was eluding officers they could see Dalton ingesting something they suspected to be methamphetamine. He was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. On March 16^th, 2019 he was arrested on the warrant from the March 12 incident.

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery (Misdemeanor)

Officer responded to a Bowman St. residence in reference to a disturbance. Responding officers came into contact with David Luis Vargas Martinez and Kimberly Monnette. Officers observed signs of a battery on both subjects who initially refused to cooperate with officers. They were both placed under arrest. Officers learned two small children were present during the domestic battery. Bonnette eventually divulged to officers that Martinez had choked her during the domestic disturbance. Both were transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

During the traffic stop, Hartford admitted to distributing some of the legend drugs. He was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers investigating a complaint of suspected drug activity come into contact with Joseph D. Repp on Hwy 182 and Martin Luther King Blvd. During the stop Officers located suspected marijuana in his possession. The investigation led officers to a motel room Repp was staying. Officers located more suspected marijuana and suspected Methamphetamine in his room. He was placed under arrested and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking. Once at Morgan City Police Department officers found that Repp had a plastic bag containing several bags of marijuana taped to his body in an effort to conceal it from officers. He was additionally charged and incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail.

Detectives began their investigation on 2/16/2019 when the victim filed a report with the Morgan City Police Department. She was booked and incarcerated.

Narcotic Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by David Aucoin in the area HWY 182. The vehicle failed to stop and continued into Berwick, La. onto U.S. 90.  The vehicle eventually pulled over into a parking lot on U.S. 90. Detectives observed Aucoin discarding evidence and attempted to arrest Aucoin. Detectives were able to handcuffed Aucoin and placed him under arrest. Detectives discovered the Item Aucoin was discarding contained suspected Methamphetamine. He was transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of HWY 182 and Roderick St. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Taylor Murphy. Officers also identified Gavin P. Bellanger as a passenger in the vehicle. During the traffic stop, officers learn City Court of Morgan City held active warrants for Taylor Murphy. Officers located suspected drug paraphernalia in both Murphy and Bellanger's possession.  Both Murphy and Bellanger was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
