MCPD Arrest Report 11/06/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 50 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/05/2018:

Jose A. Melendez, 32 years of age, Address-Sebby Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/05/2018 @ 2:59 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace

  Officers responded to a residence on Hilda St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and were told that Jose Melendez had come to the home, began hitting the door and yelling profanities.  Officers were able to locate Melendez in the area. Melendez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Rebecca Price, 47 years of age, Address-Gen. McArthur St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/05/2018 @ 8:07 am.

Charge: Warrant-Simple Cruelty to an Animal

   Rebecca Price was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant she held for the department. The warrant stems from an incident in September that alleges Price did not provide adequate care for animals in her custody. Price was booked and incarcerated.

Hope M. Martin, 41 years of age, Address-Eighth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/05/2018 @ 9:34 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear Issuing Worthless Checks

    Hope Martin was located at her residence and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office. Martin was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Patrick B. Stewart, 35 years of age, Address-North Bayou Black Rd. Gibson, La. was arrested on 11/05/2018 @10:42 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial
                Possession of Marijuana

   An officer patrolling the area of LA Hwy 182 near David Dr. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Patrick Stewart was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A warrant check revealed that Stewart held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court.  Stewart was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Stewart was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Matthew Wilson 11052018

Matthew A. Wilson, 24 years of age, Address-Bluefield, WV was arrested on 11/05/2018 @ 12:10 pm.

Charge: Theft under $1000.00
               Criminal Damage to Property
               Resisting an Officer
               Misrepresentation during Booking
               Warrant- Bank Fraud
               Warrant-Access Device Fraud
               Warrant-Probation Violation

      Officers responded to a business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a shoplifter. When officers arrived, they observed an individual running towards the rear of the business. Officers pursued the individual, who was seen running into one of the hotels on Allison St. where he was subsequently apprehended. The items taken were valued at $40.40. and he damaged one of the doors while trying to flee. The individual identified himself under an alias and was transported to the Morgan City Police Department. During the booking process, the individual was identified as Matthew Wilson. It was determined that Wilson held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems for an incident in September that alleges Wilson used a stolen credit card at several businesses in the area. Wilson also holds an active warrant for probation violation for the Tazewell County Sheriff Office in West Virginia. Wilson was additionally charged and incarcerated.

Scotty Adkins, 47 years of age, Address-Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/02/2018 @ 11:00 am.

Charge: Warrant- Possession of Marijuana
               Warrant-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Warrant-Violation of Uniform CDS-Drug Free Zone
               Warrant-Illegal Use of CDS in Presence of Juvenile

      Scotty Adkins was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the department. The warrants stem from an incident in August where suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in his home. The location of the incident is within 2000 feet of an elementary school which is considered a drug free zone. Adkins was booked and incarcerated.

Brittiani Bourque, 20 years of age, Address- Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/02/2018 @ 11:58 am.

Charge: Warrant-Simple Cruelty to Animals

  Brittiani Bourque was located at her residence and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in September which alleges that Bourque was not providing adequate care for animals in her custody. Bourque was booked and incarcerated.

Brodie Boudreaux, 24 years of age, Address-McDermott Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/02/2018 @ 2:55 pm.

   Tommy Trosclair, 26 years of age, Address-Enterprise Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/02/2018 @ 2:55 pm.

Charge: Possession of Sch IV CDS-Lorazepam

Kellie Boudreaux, 35 years of age, Address-LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/02/2018 @ 2:55 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   An officer located Brodie Boudreaux at an apartment complex on LA Hwy 182 along with two other individuals identified as Tommy Trosclair and Kellie Boudreaux.  Warrant checks were done on the individuals and it was determined that Brodie held active warrants for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and the 6th Ward City Court. Kellie held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in March which alleged that Kellie used the victim’s vehicle without permission. Drug paraphernalia was located on Kellie. Officers located a pill in Trosclair’s possession identified as Lorazepam.  All subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  

Alicia R. Bertrand, 33 years of age, Address-Cremo Lane Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/02/2018 @2:44 pm.

Charge: Theft under $1000.00

      Officers responded to a business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to an individual that had been previously barred from the property. Officers arrived and spoke to management who identified Alicia Bertrand being inside the business. Reports indicate that prior to making contact with Bertrand, the officer observed her putting items inside her pockets. Bertrand was followed outside the store and placed under arrest. The items taken totaled $65.20. Bertrand was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

John Q. Lyons, 53 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/03/2018 @ 8:04 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)
               Warrant- Possession of Methamphetamine
               Warrant-Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution  

     John Lyons was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the department and the 6th Ward City Court. The warrant stems from an incident in April of 2017 in which Lyons was in possession of suspected methamphetamine while inside the Morgan City Jail Facility. Lyons was booked and incarcerated.

Thomas Clay, 55 years of age, Address-West Park Gray, La. was arrested on 11/03/2018 @ 6:08 pm.

Charge: Remaining After Being Forbidden
               Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

  Officers responded to a residence on Terrebonne St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived Thomas Clay was identified as causing the disturbance and had been told not to return to the property. Officers made contact with Clay, who appeared intoxicated. Clay was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Darnell Johnson, 42 years of age, Address-Birch St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/03/2018 @7:08 pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

   Officers responded to a residence on First St. in regards to a disturbance.  Officers arrived and Darnell Johnson was identified as causing the disturbance. Officers made contact with Johnson, who appeared intoxicated. Johnson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Cletis T. Viet Vu, 36 years of age, Address-Lake Palourde Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/04/2018 @ 1:17 am.

Charge: No Tail Lamps
              Driving Under Suspension
              No Insurance

    An officer on Marguerite St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Cletis Viet Vu was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Viet Vu’s driver’s license was suspended and the vehicle he was driving did not have insurance. Viet Vu was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Lisa D. Jones, 56 years of age, Address-South Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/4/2018 @ 7:13 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine

   Lisa Jones was located in the area of Third St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the Morgan City Police Department. Jones was transported to the Morgan City Police Department booking and incarceration.

Kierra A. Paddio, 20 years of age, Address-South Everett St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/04/2018 @ 11:36 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial

   Kierra Paddio was located at her residence and placed under arrest for an active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Paddio was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Nyjul T. Hillebrandt, 22 years of age, Address-Lawrence St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/01/2018 @ 2:14 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear

  Nyjul Hillebrant was transported from the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Hillebrandt was booked and incarcerated.

Bonnie E. Blankenship, 62 years of age, Address-Hwy 70 Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 11/01/2018 @ 8:14 pm.

Charge: Stop Sign Violation
               Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

    A patrol officer observed a vehicle disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Myrtle St. and Victor II Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Bonnie Blankenship was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, the officer could smell an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was done and suspected marijuana was located. Blankenship was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jordan Steele, 39 years of age, Address-Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/02/2018 @ 1:47 am.

Charge: Warrant-Criminal Damage to Property-Less Than $1000.00

  Jordan Steele was located on LA Hwy 182 and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in September which alleges Steele damaged an individual’s vehicle. Steel was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
