MCPD Arrest Report 11/14/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 34 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/13/2018:

Shawn Green, 31 years of age, Address-Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/13/2018 @9:02 am.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana

   The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at a residence on Terrebonne St. Once at the residence officers came into contact with Shawn Green. Suspected marijuana was located inside the home. Green was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jordyn Smith, 18 years of age, Address-Marietta Lane Gray, La. was arrested on 11/13/2018 @ 10:50 am.

   Jordyn Smith was transported from the Terrebonne Parish Jail to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Smith was booked and incarcerated.

   Summer Billiot was located at her residence on Mallard St. and placed under arrest for active warrants she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Billiot was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Patrel M. Jenkins, 44 years of age, Address-Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/12/2018 @ 10:35 am.

              Possession of a Legend Drug Topiramate

   The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Eleventh St. Officers located Alexis Robertson, Randy Clark, James Robinson and Patrel Jenkins inside the home. During the course of the search, officers located suspected cocaine, suboxone, pills identified as Lortab, Topiramate, Zolpidem Tartrate, and drug paraphernalia. All subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Bryant Harris 11122018

Bryant K. Harris, 31 years of age, Address-Mars Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/12/2018 @ 7:54 pm.

Charge: Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
               Possession of Marijuana

   Officers responded to a residence on Railroad Ave. in regards to an unknown individual inside the victim’s home. Officers arrived and located the individual identified as Bryant Harris. Reports indicate that the victim observed Harris standing in his doorway. Suspected marijuana was also found in Harris’ possession. Harris was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Courtlin M. Carter, 29 years of age, Address-Birch St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/12/2018 @ 11:42 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial

  Courtlin Carter was located on LA Hwy 70 and placed under arrest for an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Carter was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jesses R. Laboy, 42 years of age, Address-Pascagoula, MS was arrested on 11/09/2018 @ 9:30 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial

   Jesses Laboy was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Laboy was booked and incarcerated.

Deven W. Vining, 25 years of age, Address-Pecos St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/09/2018 @ 6:37 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Probation Violation

  Deven Vining was located at a motel on LA Hwy 182 and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole. Vining was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Gaye Nell Cusson, 55 years of age, Address-Laura Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/09/2018 @ 7:06 pm.

Charge: Theft under $1000.00

   Officers responded to a business on Seventh St. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived but the individual had already left the store. A description was given out of the vehicle the individual was driving. The vehicle was located on LA Hwy 70 and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was identified as Gaye Nell Cusson. Reports indicate that Cusson admitted to taking the items. Cusson was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jonathan Ashley 11092018

Jonathan W. Ashley, 30 years of age, Address-Ninth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/09/2018 @ 8:03 pm.

Charge: Theft under $1000.00
               Possession of Sch II CDS-Methamphetamines
               Obstruction of Justice-Tampering with Evidence
               Introduction of Contraband into Penal Institution

      Officers responded to a business on Brashear Ave. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and spoke to management who stated that an individual identified as Jonathan Ashley was observed concealing items inside of his jacket. Officers located Ashely outside of the store and he reportedly admitted to taking the items. Ashley was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, the officer observed something inside of Ashely’s mouth.  The officer was able to retrieve the substance which is believed to be suspected methamphetamine. Ashely was booked and incarcerated.

Austin M. Ray, 23 years of age, Address-Roussell St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/10/2018 @ 12:30 am.

Thaijanee A. West, 23 years of age, Address-Park St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/10/2018 @ 12:30 am.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicle

      An officer in the area of Railroad Ave. and Grizzaffi St. observed a vehicle run off the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Austin Ray was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Ray appeared intoxicated. The officer also located suspected marijuana on Ray. The passenger in the vehicle Thaijanne West was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. The officer also located drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Both Ray and West were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Ray was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test in which he performed poorly. Ray then submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Ray's results yielded a .014g% of blood alcohol content.  A urine sample was taken from Ray and those results are pending. Ray and West were booked and incarcerated.

Henry Daigle 11102018

Henry Daigle Jr, 54 years of age, Address-Columbus St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/10/2018 @ 2:12 am.


Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 3rd Offense
               Improper Lane Usage
               Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicle

    An officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 and Martin Luther King Blvd. that was swerving in and out of the lane travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Henry Daigle was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Daigle appeared intoxicated. Daigle was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test but refused. Daigle was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Daigle refused to submit to the chemical test for intoxication. A warrant was obtained for a sample of blood to withdrawn from Daigle. Daigle was transported to a medical facility for the retrieval of the sample. The results of the sample are pending.  Daigle was returned back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chad M. Ferguson, 24 years of age, Address-Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/10/2018 @ 8:37 am.

Charge: Warrant-Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
               Warrant-Bicycles Front and Rear Reflector Required
               Warrant-Riding on Roadways and Bicycle Paths

   Chad Ferguson was located at his residence on Levee Rd. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the Morgan City Police Department. Ferguson was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jeffery D. Fields, 51 years of age, Address-Patton St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/10/2018 @ 4:00 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines

     Jeffery Fields was located at his residence on Patton St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Fields was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Carlos D. Paniagua-Martinez, 26 years of age, Address-Chennault St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/11/2018 @ 2:46 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
               No Driver’s License
               No Headlights

     An officer observed a vehicle in the area of LA Hwy 182 and Myrtle St. with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Carlos Paniagua-Martinez was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Paniagua-Martinez did not have a valid driver’s license. According to reports, Paniagua-Martinez appeared intoxicated. Paniagua-Martinez was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test in which he performed poorly. Paniagua-Martinez was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Paniagua-Martinez submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and yield a result of .085g% of blood alcohol content. Paniagua-Martinez was booked and incarcerated.

Antonie Randle 11112018

Antoine O. Randle, 33 years of age, Address-LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/11/2018 @ 12:27 pm.

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation

  Officers responded to a residence on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim, who stated that she and her boyfriend, Antoine Randle had gotten into a verbal altercation that later turned physical. According to reports, the victim stated that Randle began to strike her in the facial area, he also grabbed her throat and began choking her. The officer did observe marks on the victim consistent with her statement. Randle was located inside the home and placed under arrest. Randle was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Joie A. Adams, 37 years of age, Address-Grout St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/11/2018 @ 9:48 pm.

Charge: Theft under $1000.00

   Officers responded to a business on Brashear Ave. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived and spoke to management who stated that an individual identified as Joie Adams had taken items without making a purchase. Officers located Adams inside the store and retrieved the items that were taken. Adams was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Lechelle F. Deshotel, 27 years of age, Address-New Iberia, La. was arrested on 11/11/2018 @ 1:06 am.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
               Speeding
               Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

    An officer in the area of LA Hwy 70 observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Lechelle Deshotel was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Deshotel appeared intoxicated. Deshotel was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test which she performed poorly. Suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in Deshotel’s possession. Deshotel was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department Deshotel submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and yielded a result of .000g% of blood alcohol content. A warrant was obtained to retrieve a sample of blood from Deshotel. Deshotel was transported to a medical facility for the retrieval of the sample. The results of the sample are pending. Deshotel was transported back to the police department for booking and incarceration.
