Morgan City Police Dept arrest report for 11/19/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 102 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/16/2018:



Francisco Garces, 29 years of age, Hwy 70 Morgan City,La was arrested on 11/16/18 @ 7:00pm

 

Charges:  Warrant FTA for Trial City Court of Morgan City-No Tail Lights
                  Warrant FTA for Trial City Court of Morgan City-Switched License Plate
                  Warrant FTA for Trial City Court of Morgan City-Driving under suspension

 
Francisco Garces was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department and booking for Failure to appear for Trial in City Court.  Garces was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.


Colby Nicholas, 18 years of age, Wren St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 11/16/18 @7:00 pm

 

Charges: Warrant-FTA to Pay Fine for Remaining after being forbidden
                 Warrant-FTA for Arraignment for Improper Lane use
                 Warrant-FTA for Arraignment for Improper lighting

Nicholas was arrested at the Morgan City Police Department for warrants from City Court of Morgan City.  Nicholas was booked into the Morgan City Police Department Jail.

 

Miles Morgan, 31 years of age, Front St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 11/17/18 @ 8:06 pm

 

Charges: Warrant-Criminal Mischief
                 Warrant-FTA for 16th JDC Criminal Neglect of Family

 
Miles Morgan was located at his residence by officers who knew of warrants for his arrest.  Morgan was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

 

Alexander Cardona-Rodriguez, 25 years of age, Levee Rd. Morgan City,La was arrested on 11/17/18 @ 9:51 pm

 

Charges: Hit and Run
                 No Drivers License
                 Reckless operation of a vehicle

 

Officers were called to a hit and run accident on Sixth St. in Morgan City.  One of the witness to the accident followed the suspect who had left the scene to an address on Levee Rd and waited for Officers.  During the investigation it was learned that the suspect Alexander Cardona-Rodriguez hit a vehicle and after hitting the vehicle back up and struck the vehicle a second time.  Officer located Rodriguez and placed him under arrest.  A computer check also showed that Rodriguez had no valid driver’s license. Rodriguez was transported to the Morgan City Police Jail for booking.

 


William Broussard, 30 years of age, Idaho St. Morgan City,La was arrested on 11/17/18 @ 11:17 pm

 

Charges: Warrant-FTA to Pay fine for Careless Operation

 

William Broussard was located in the area of Hwy 182 by officers who learned of the warrant from City Court of Morgan City.  Broussard was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

                 Warrant: FTA for Arraignment for Possession of Alcohol beverage in a Motor Vehicle

 
  Officers were called on the Everett St area about a reckless driver.  Officers were speaking with a witness when they observe the vehicle come back to the area and nearly lose control after accelerating in an unsafe manner.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver Santos Rivera.  Officers believed that Rivera was intoxicated and performed a field sobriety test which Rivera failed.  Rivera was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was given a chemical test for intoxication with the results of .216g%.  Rivera was found not to have a valid driver’s license and Warrants from City Court of Morgan City for failing to appear for arraignment on 12/12/17.  Rivera was booked into the Morgan City Police Department.

 

 
Darius Brown, 40 years of age, Clements St. Patterson,La was arrested on 11/19/218 @ 3:31 am
 

Charges: Warrant-FTA to pay probation fee City Court of Morgan City

 

Officers were called to Teche Medical Center to remove a subject from the property.  Officers spoke with that subject identified as Brown.  Officers learned that Brown had outstanding warrants from City Court of Morgan City.  Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking.

 

 

 

MCPD Arrest Report 11/16/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/15/2018:

Keondra Clark, 27 years of age, Address-Oak St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/15/2018 @ 7:59 am.

Charge: No Insurance
               No Driver’s License
               Stop Lamps and Turn Signals Required
               Warrant-Failure to Appear

    An officer patrolling in the area of Sixth and Spruce St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Keondra Clark was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Clark never obtained a driver’s license. There was also no insurance on the vehicle. A warrant check revealed that Clark held an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Clark was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Elton Brown

Elton Brown Jr, 53 years of age, Address-Levee Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/15/2018 @ 2:12 pm.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense
               Turning Movements and Required Signals
               Driving Under Suspension

     An officer observed a vehicle with improper lighting on Martin Luther King Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Elton Brown was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Brown’s license was suspended. Reports indicate that Brown appeared intoxicated. Brown was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test in which he performed poorly. Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Brown submitted to the chemical test for intoxication and his results yielded .033g% of blood alcohol content. A warrant was obtained to retrieve a blood sample from Brown. Brown was transported to a medical facility for the sample to be withdrawn. The results of the sample are pending. Brown was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Cullen J. Collin, 23 years of age, Address-Monarch Dr. Houma, La. was arrested on 11/15/2018 @ 4:38 pm.

Charge: Possession with Intent to Distribute Sch I CDS- Marijuana

Chelsey N. Boudreaux, 21 years of age, Address-Collins St. Houma, La. was arrested on 11/15/2018 @ 4:38 pm.

              Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

      An officer on Brashear Ave. observed a vehicle hit the curb and swerve in and out the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Chelsey Boudreaux was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that the officer could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The passenger, Cullen Collins was asked to exit the vehicle.  During the course of the investigation, Boudreaux was found to be in possession of suspected LSD, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officers located in Collin’s possession suspected marijuana that was packaged for sale. Both Boudreaux and Collins were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Ly J. Mencia-Ponce, 33 years of age, Address-LA Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/14/2018 @ 3:26 pm.

Charge: Improper Lane Usage
               Driving Under Suspension
               No Child Restraint

  An officer patrolling the area of Egle St. observed a vehicle cross the center line of the roadway. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Ly Mencia-Ponce was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Mencia-Ponce’s driver’s license was suspended.  The officer also observed a small child unrestrained inside the vehicle. Mencia-Ponce was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

David Alcazar, 36 years of age, Address-Houston, TX was arrested on 11/14/2018 @ 10:58 pm.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
               Simple Obstruction of a Highway

      An officer in the area of Railroad Ave. and Myrtle St. observed a vehicle stopped at the intersection and the driver appeared to be asleep. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and was able to awake the driver identified as David Alcazar. Alcazar was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that Alcazar appeared intoxicated. Alcazar was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test in which he performed poorly. Alcazar as placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Alcazar refused the chemical test for intoxication. A warrant was obtained to withdraw a blood sample from Alcazar. Alcazar was transported to a medical facility for the retrieval of the blood sample. The results of the sample are pending. Alcazar was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
