MCPD Arrest Report 11/29/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 42 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/28/2018:

Ashley Bourgeois, 32 years of age, Address-Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/28/2018 @ 10:30 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace-Offensive Language
               Possession of Marijuana

   Officers responded to a business on Federal Ave. in regards to an individual causing a disturbance. When officers arrived, Ashley Bourgeois was identified as the individual causing the disturbance. Officers made contact with Bourgeois who was yelling and using profanities. Bourgeois was asked to calm down several times but refused. Officers also located suspected marijuana in Bourgeois’ possession. Bourgeois was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Raymond Ross 11282018

Raymond Ross, 19 years of age, Address-Willow St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 11/28/2018 @ 4:35 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Simple Battery on the Infirm
               Warrant-Criminal Damage to Property
               Warrant-Telephone Harassment

   Raymond Ross was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the department. The warrants stem from an incident on November 2 that alleges Ross committed a battery on an elderly individual and also damaged the victim’s property. Ross also is alleged to have made several calls to the victim as well. Ross was booked and incarcerated.

Nathaniel L. Wicks, 20 years of age, Address-79 Pines St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/28/2018 @ 4:50 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)
                Warrant-Probation Violation

   Nathaniel Wicks was transported from the Patterson Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Wicks was booked and incarcerated.

Kelsey Francois, 23 years of age, Address-Orange St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/28/2018 @ 8:03 pm.

Charge: Window Tint Violation
               No Insurance
               Possession of Marijuana
               Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
               Warrant-Disturbing the Peace

      Officers were in the area of Federal Ave. and Egle St. in regards to a possible disturbance. While in the area the officers observed a vehicle leaving the area in high rate of speed. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Kelsey Francois. A warrant check was done Francois and it was determined that she held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. A computer check revealed that the vehicle did not have valid insurance. Officers also located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Francois was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Megan R. Gaudet, 27 years of age, Address-Parro Lane Berwick, La. was arrested on 11/28/2018 @ 11:07 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Trial
                Warrant-Contempt of Court

   Megan Gaudet was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for active warrant she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Gaudet was booked and incarcerated.

Gerian E. Lightfoot, 27 years of age, Address-Willow St. Franklin, La was arrested on 11/29/2018 @ 2:38 am.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana

  Officers responded to a motel on LA Hwy 182 in regards to possible illegal drug activity in the area. Officers made contact with an individual identified as Gerian Lightfoot. Officers located suspected marijuana in Lightfoot’s possession. Lightfoot was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Claude M. Charlot, 25 years of age, Address-Leonard St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 11/29/2018 @ 5:00 am.

Charge: Warrant-Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information

   Claude Charlot was placed under arrest at the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the department. Charlot was booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24 hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/26/2018:

Dakota A. Daigle, 26 years of age, Address-Second St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2018 @ 4:58 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Possession of Marijuana
               Warrant-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   Dakota Daigle was located in the area of Hwy 182 and Grizzaffi St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant held for the Morgan City Police Department. Daigle was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Eric F. Geibel, 48 years of age, Address-Onstead St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2018 @ 7:42 pm.

Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense
               Disregarding Barricades, Signs and Signals

      Officers were investigating a vehicle crash at the intersection of LA Hwy 182 and Florence St. with emergency vehicles blocking off the area. While officers were investigating the crash, a vehicle drove around the emergency vehicles. A traffic stop was done on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Eric Geibel. Reports indicate that Geibel appeared intoxicated and when asked to perform Standard Field Sobriety Test, he performed poorly. Geibel was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the police department, Geibel submitted to the chemical test for intoxication. Geibel results yielded a .120g% of blood alcohol content. Geibel was booked and incarcerated.

Morrisuantee V. Charles, 26 years of age, Address-Belanger St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/26/2018 @ 12:50 pm.

Charge: Theft under $1000.00

   Officers responded to a business on LA Hwy 182 in regard to a theft involving an employee. Officers arrived and spoke with management. According to reports, Morrisuantee Charles an employee at the business was not properly scanning merchandise, allowing customers to pay a lower price. Officers spoke to Charles, who reportedly admitted to the theft. Charles was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Kirt Favors 11262018

Kirt Favors, 20 years of age, Address-Stewart St. Lafayette, La. was arrested on 11/26/2018 @ 5:40 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Attempted 2nd Degree Murder (2cts)
               Warrant- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
               Warrant-Discharging a Firearm in City Limits

        Kirt Favors was located on South East Blvd. in the Bayou Vista area. With the assistance of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, Favors was placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the Patterson Police Department. Favors was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Acklin S. Crochet, 18 years of age, Address-Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/27/2018 @ 12:03 am.

Charge: Criminal Trespass
               Remaining After Being Forbidden

     Officers responded to a residence on South Railroad Ave. in regards to an individual trespassing on the property. Officers arrived and spoke with the homeowner who stated that Acklin Crochet had come to his home knocking on the door and he was not allowed on the property. Officers spoke to Crochet and told him to leave the area. A short time later, officers returned to the residence regarding Crochet being back on the property. Officers located Crochet outside the home and placed him under arrest. Crochet was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
