Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 42 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 05/03/2017:

Lorelyn M. Gotcher, 31 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/03/2017 @ 3:08 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Lorelyn M. Gotcher was located and arrested at the Morgan City Court on active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Gotcher was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Tyler J. Sylvester, 17 years of age, address: Short St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/03/2017 @ 3:39 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Tyler J. Sylvester was located and arrested at the Morgan City Court on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Sylvester was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Tyson Celestine, 28 years of age, address: First St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/03/2017 @ 4:42 p.m.

                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division and Criminal Investigations Division conducted an undercover investigation in the area of Onstead St. According to reports during the investigation Stafford Robertson was identified as a suspect. Robertson agreed to meet the undercover agent in the area of Onstead St. and deliver suspected marijuana. When Robertson arrived to that area he was taken into custody and a cellophane bag of suspected marijuana was located.  Robertson admitted to arriving to that area to deliver the marijuana. The investigation continued and investigators uncovered evidence that Tyson Celestine was identified as giving the marijuana to Robertson to be sold to investigators. Celestine was located in the immediate area and investigators located drug paraphernalia. Robertson and Celestine were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrick L. Augman, 43 years of age, address: Spurgeon Rd. Monroe, La, arrested on 05/03/2017 @ 5:31 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 03/28/2017 (4 counts)

Patrick L. Augman was located and arrested in the area of Mallard St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Augman was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Paige Mabe, 28 years of age, address: Fourth St. Berwick, La, arrested on 05/04/2017 @ 2:27 a.m.

Paige Mabe was located and arrested at the Berwick Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Mabe was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 05/01/2017:

Randy G. Clark, 30 years of age, address: Friendship Alley, Amelia, La, arrested on 05/01/2017 @ 8:29 a.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Chennault St. According to reports the officer was familiar with the operator, who was known as Randy G. Clark, and had knowledge that Clark’s driver’s license was under suspension. That information was confirmed and a stop was initiated. Clark was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division responded to a residence on LA 182 in regards to an Ashton Allen who held active arrest warrants through the Morgan City Police. Investigators made contact with Allen at the residence and according to reports while speaking with him items of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine were observed. Search of the residence produced more drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, and suspected Buprenorphine Hydrochloride. Evidence was uncovered during the investigation that the methamphetamine was intended to be sold. There were also two small children present at the time of the incident. According to reports the warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in April of 2017 when Allen was found to be in possession of suspected alprazolam, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Warrants were prepared for Allen’s arrest. Both of these incident occurred within a Drug Free Zone. Allen was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated. 

Kristi K. Adams, 37 years of age, address: Emy Ln. Patterson, La, arrested on 05/01/2017 @ 8:28 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace

Patrol officers responded to a residence on Railroad Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports Kristi K. Adams was identified as the suspect and she allegedly approached the residence causing a disturbance. Adams was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Bobby Faulk Jr., 34 years of age, address: West Ave. Larose, La, arrested on 05/01/2017 @ 9:15 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a complaint. Officers arrived and according to reports Bobby Faulk Jr. was located and found to be in an intoxicated state. Faulk was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kenneth Morris, 19 years of age, address: Robin St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/01/2017 @ 10:25 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                  Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division came in contact with Kenneth Morris in the area of Canary St. According to reports upon speaking with Morris an odor of marijuana was detected. Morris was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug Free Zone. Morris was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the in the area of Hwy 182 in regards to a Joseph D. Richardson causing a disturbance and was banned from the property. Officers arrived and learned that Richardson had taken off running from the area. According to reports a description of Richardson was obtained and officers located him running in the area. The officer initiated a stop on Richardson in regards to the complaint at which time he fled on foot. Richardson was taken into custody a short time later by officers. While searching the area where Richardson had fled officers located a bag that contained Synthetic Cannabinoids, Vyvanse, Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine, Acetaminophen/Codeine, Tramadol, and two firearms. One of the firearms had the serial numbers obliterated. Evidence was obtained in the investigation linking Richardson to the bag. It was also learned that Richardson was a convicted felon forbidding him to possess a firearm. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug Free Zone. Richardson was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Travis J. Morin, 33 years of age, address: Roderick St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/27/2017 @ 3:05 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial 04/20/2017 (2 counts)

Travis J. Morin was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held  by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Morin was booked into the Morgan City Jail.

Brandon Poole, 30 years of age, address: Garber St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 05/02/2017 @ 1:15 p.m.

Charges: Resisting an Officer

Officers came in contact with Brandon Poole while conducting patrols in the area of Garber St. According to reports Poole was acting in a suspicious nature and made gestures that he had a firearm. While officers were conducting their investigation during the encounter Poole began to pull away and resist. Poole was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division while patrolling the area of Federal Ave. observed a male subject conduct a hand to hand transaction with a subject in a vehicle. According to reports that subject then left the area in a vehicle and a stop was initiated. The subject that was observed by investigators was identified as Eddie B. Norman. Norman was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. During the investigation evidence was uncovered the suspected methamphetamine was intended for sale and Norman allegedly admitted to selling suspected methamphetamine to the subject that investigators first observed. The investigation led to a residence on Railroad Ave. and items of drug paraphernalia were located. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug Free Zone. Norman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

MCPD Arrest Report 05/01/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 98 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 04/28/2017:

Tuan V. Nguyen, 47 years of age, address: Fandal St. Gibson, La, arrested on 04/28/2017 @ 8:38 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 2nd Offense

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of LA 182 and the occupants were not properly restrained. A stop was initiated and the operator was identified as Tuan V. Nguyen. According to reports while speaking with Nguyen the officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted in which Nguyen performed poorly. Nguyen was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for chemical testing. Once at the Morgan City Jail Nguyen submitted to chemical testing which registered .114g% blood alcohol content. Nguyen was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Darell Gash, 36 years of age, address: Blum Blvd. Berwick, La, arrested on 04/28/2017 @ 10:26 p.m.

Darell Gash was located and arrested in the area of Front St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Gash was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a subject in the area Sixth St and upon seeing patrolman began acting in a suspicious nature. According to reports a stop was initiated and Troy M. Aucoin was identified. During the investigation officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Aucoin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. According to reports officers obtained a description and located the vehicle in question. A stop was initiated in the area of MLK Blvd and Christon Diaz and Ruben L. Arreland were identified as the occupants. During the investigation the officer observed Diaz remove a cellophane bag from his pocket and attempted to conceal the item. Arreland then grabbed the bag from Diaz in an attempt to conceal it from officers. The cellophane bag was found to contain suspected cocaine. Diaz was found not to have a driver’s license during the investigation. Both Diaz and Arreland were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jai where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and identified Katherine Stoute as one of the subjects involved. Stoute was found to be in an intoxicated state. According to reports it was learned that Stoute was staying in room at the business. She went to another room and began banging on the door looking for someone. The female in that room, Cheyenne H. Aucoin, then opened the door and allegedly struck Stoute in the face. Both Stoute and Aucoin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were both booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle driving in an erratic manner in the area of LA 182. A stop was initiated and Brennan T.C. Burney was identified as the operator. According to reports the officer detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During the investigation suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located. Burney was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of US 90 in regards to a vehicle crash. Officers arrived and located a vehicle that had struck an object that was in roadway. Wade A. Tillman and Ashley M. Manuel were identified as the occupants along with two juveniles. According to reports officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both Tillman and Manuel were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Federal Ave. in regards to a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. A description was obtained and the vehicle was located in the area of First St. A stop was initiated and Bryant Johnson was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports Johnson was found to be in an intoxicated state. Johnson refused Standardized Field Sobriety Test. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for chemical test which he submitted to,registering .165g% blood alcohol content. Johnson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a report of a shoplifter. Officers arrived and Jamichael D. Bowie was identified as attempting to take items valued at $17.99 without paying for them. According to reports Bowie admitted to the theft. It was also learned that Bowie held active arrest warrants through the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division in November of 2015 in which Bowie was stopped by investigators for failing to use his turn signal. According to reports Bowie was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, clonazepam, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The items were seized pending analysis and a warrant was prepared for Bowie’s arrest. Bowie was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jasmine R. Broussard, 27 years of age, address: Maple St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/30/2017 @ 11:23 p.m.

Jordan Watson, 28 years of age, address: Cherry St. Patterson, La, arrested on 04/30/2017 @ 11:45 p.m.

Jordan Watson was located and arrested in the area of Eighth St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Watson was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Treylon J. Jenkins was located and arrested at the Berwick Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in February of 2016 when they responded to the area of Egle St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports it was learned that Jenkins had entered the home without authorization and allegedly committed a battery on the victim while they were holding a small child. Jenkins also allegedly broke a cell phone belonging to the victim. Jenkins left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. A warrant was prepared for his arrest. Jenkins was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 04/26/2017:

Lynn J. Matherne, 54 years of age, address: Maplewood Dr. Houma, La, arrested on 04/26/2017 @ 12:07 p.m.

Patrol officers with the Morgan City Police Department responded to US 90 in regards to a vehicle crash. According to reports officers arrived and observed debris in the roadway from a load that was not properly restrained and fell onto the roadway. Lynn J. Matherne was identified as the operator of that vehicle and it was found that his driver’s license was under suspension, he had no insurance on his vehicle, and that his registration and license plate was expired. Matherne was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a residence on McDermott Dr. in regards to a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports it was learned that James Edwards allegedly committed a battery on the victim. Edwards was also found to have active arrest warrants held through the 16th Judicial Court. Edwards was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Elmer Canizales, 25 years of age, address: Eighth St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/26/2017 @ 6:50 p.m.

Charges: No Drivers License
                  No Seat Belt

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of MLK Blvd and the operator was not properly restrained. A stop was initiated and Elmer Canizales was identified as the driver of the vehicle. According to reports it was learned during the stop that Canizales did not have a valid driver’s license. Canizales was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.  

Johnny Deberry, 61 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/27/2017 @ 1:59 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to pay fine on 04/18/2017 (8 counts)

Johnny Deberry was located and arrested in the area of Fourth St. on several active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Deberry was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Roberto N. Acosta, 68 years of age, address: Ditch Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/27/2017 @ 4:32 a.m.

Charges: No Drivers License
                  Expired License Plate

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of MLK Blvd with an expired license plate. A stop was initiated and according to reports Robert N. Acosta was identified as the operator of the vehicle. It was learned during the stop that Acosta did not have a valid driver’s license. Acosta was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
