Frank J. Rock Jr., 29 years of age, address: Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/11/2017 @ 2:17 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

A patrol officer was flagged down in the area of Federal Avenue in regards to a suspicious subject. Frank J. Rock Jr. was located and upon the officer making contact with Rock he was found to be in an intoxicated state. Rock was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Nicholas Paul Kapp, 22 years of age, address: Lake Palourde Rd. Amelia, La, arrested on 04/11/2017 @ 10:48 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 04/05/2017
                 No Driver’s License

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of Greenwood St. and the occupants were not wearing a seatbelt. A stop was initiated and Nicholas P. Kapp was identified as the driver. During the investigation it was learned that Kapp held active arrest warrants through the 16^th Judicial Court and that he did not hold a valid driver’s license. Kapp was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kenneth J. Alfred, 43 years of age, address: Marie St. Patterson, La, arrested on 04/07/2017 @ 10:56 a.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Stop Sign Violation

Patrol officers observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign in the area of Belanger St. A stop was initiated at which time Kenneth J. Alfred was identified as the driver of the vehicle. During the investigation Alfred’s driver’s license was found to be under suspension. Alfred was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jack M. Rawls was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police in September of 2007 where Rawls had allegedly taken a car that belonged to a local business without permission. Rawls was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a motorcycle fail to stop at a red light in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. Officers attempted to initiate a stop but the driver failed to comply. The subject entered onto US 90 west as officers followed. Officers were able to stop the motorcycle on US 90 in Berwick. The driver was taken into custody and identified as Gregory Granger Jr. Granger was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage. Granger was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jodie Meranta, 48 years of age, address: Clark Rd. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/08/2017 @ 05:49 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Disturbing the Peace

Jodie Meranta was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation in December 2016 in which Meranta allegedly came in contact with the victim in the area of First St and began hollering profanities. When speaking with the police the victim indicated that they would wish to pursue charges at which time a warrant was prepared for Meranta’s arrest. Meranta was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Joseph M. Price, 45 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/08/2017 @ 9:25 p.m.

Charges: Resisting an Officer

Officers responded to the area of Front St. in regards to a trespassing complaint. Officers arrived and Joseph M. Price was identified as a suspect. According to reports upon making contact with Price he fled on foot from officers. Price was located in the area a short time later at which time he was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Billiot was identified as the driver and during the investigation marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located. The area where the incident took place was within a Drug Free Zone. Billiot was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to a local business in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim who alleged he was struck by a male subject who was identified as Edward Gil. According to reports Gil allegedly approached the victim and began hitting him. During the altercation, due to Gil’s actions, property was damaged. Gil was found to be in an intoxicated stated. Gil was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail. While being transported to the jail Gil damaged a Morgan City Police Department patrol car. Gil was booked and incarcerated.

Joel Claudio-Deleon, 40 years of age, address: Grizzaffi St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/07/2017 @ 3:41 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Oxycodone)
                 Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                 No Drivers License 

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of LA 182. A stop was initiated at which time Joel Claudio-Deleon was identified as the driver. It was found during the investigation that Claudio-Deleon did not hold a valid driver’s license. According to reports during the Claudio-Deleon was found to be in possession of Oxycodone which is a SCH II CDS and he did not hold a valid prescription. Claudio-Deleon was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
