MCPD Arrest Report 04/26/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result during the last reporting period beginning on 04/25/2017:

Sir Charles Evans 04252017
Sir Charles Evans, 38 years of age, address: Oak St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 11:57 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Home Invasion
                  Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery
                  Warrant: Simple Battery
                  Warrant: Simple Criminal Damage to Property

Sir Charles Evans was located and arrested in the area of Mallard St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted in March of 2017 when patrol officers responded to the area of Oak St. in regards to a disturbance. According to reports officers arrived and spoke with the victim who alleged that Sir Charles Evans forcibly entered the residence and committed a battery on them. There was damage to the door that Evans allegedly entered through and another occupant in the home that was allegedly struck during the encounter. Evans was not located due to leaving the scene prior to officer’s arrival. Warrants were prepared for his arrest. Evans was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Charles L. Gash, 62 years of age, address: Freret St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 12:08 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Mallard St. in regards to a subject who held active warrants for his arrest. Officers arrived and located Charles L. Gash who held active arrest warrants through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. According to reports it was also learned that Mr. Gash had been banned from entering onto Housing Authority Properties. Gash was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Tyson Celestine, 28 years of age, address: First St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 12:57 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Transactions involving Proceeds from Drug Activity
                  Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a residence on First St. According to reports investigators located during the search suspected marijuana, US Currency that is believed to be derived from drug proceeds, and drug paraphernalia. Investigators uncovered evidence during the investigation linking Tyson Celestine to the illicit sales of illegal narcotics from the residence.  The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug Free Zone. Celestine was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Sana Khan, 28 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 2:15 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Revocation on 03/27/2017

Sana Khan was located and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court in the area of Headland St. Khan was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Journi O. Loupe, 17 years of age, address: Neptune St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 6:01 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana

Patrol officers initiated a stop on a vehicle in the area of US 90. According to reports while the officer was speaking with the driver, the passenger Journi O. Loupe was observed concealing something on her person. Loupe was confronted with what was observed and Loupe turned over suspected marijuana. Loupe was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Dwayne Clark, 44 years of age, address: Verdun Ln. Franklin, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 7:13 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting
                  Warrant: Simple Criminal Damage to Property
                  Warrant: Criminal Trespassing

Wayne Clark, 44 years of age, address: Lenny’s Ln. Amelia, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 7:32 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace by Fighting

Officers responded to the area of Mount St. in regards to a disturbance involving a fistic encounter. Officers arrived and according to reports observed Wayne and Dwayne Clark involved in a physical altercation. The subjects were separated and arrested. It was also learned that Dwayne Clark held active warrants for his arrest through the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by investigators when the victim alleged that Dwayne Clark was trespassing on their property and damaged a vehicle. Warrants were prepared for Clark’s arrest. Both Wayne and Dwayne Clark were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Blaze A. Guerrero, 17 years of age, address: Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/25/2017 @ 8:47 p.m.

                  Transaction involving Proceeds from Drug Activity
                  Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Brashear Avenue. According to reports upon searching the residence located was suspected marijuana, suspected marijuana plants, US Currency that is believed to be derived from drug proceeds, and drug paraphernalia. Investigators uncovered evidence linking Blaze Guerrero to the illicit sales of illegal narcotics from the residence. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug Free Zone. Guerrero was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Alfred J. Adams, 39 years of age, address: Palm Ln., Labadieville, La, arrested on 04/24/2017 @ 1:02 p.m.

                  No Seat Belt

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of LA 182 with 4 occupants and all were unrestrained. According to reports a traffic stop was initiated and the driver identified himself as Laine Washington. Laine Washington’s driver’s license was found to be under suspension. One of the passengers in the vehicle was identified as Alfred J. Adams and was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both Washington and Adams were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail. During booking the subject who identified himself as Laine Washington advised the officer that he had been untruthful about his identity during the stop and he was identified as Lorne E. Washington. His drivers license was also found to be under suspension. Both Washington and Adams were booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

David Acuna-Ontiveros, 30 years of age, address: Fayetteville St. Claygon GA, arrested on 04/24/2017 @ 12:56 p.m.

David Acuna-Ontiveros and Ruben Verdergo were located and arrested at the Department of Motor Vehicles by the Louisiana State Police. According to reports it indicates that they attempted to obtain a driver’s license with fraudulent documentation. Both Acuna-Ontiveros and Verdergo were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were  booked and incarcerated.

Preston Gordon, 73 years of age, address: South Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/24/2017 @ 9:26 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Traffic Arraignment on 02/03/2017

Preston Gordon was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Gordon was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Erick Deleon, 23 years of age, address: First St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/24/2017 @ 10:29 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                  Warrant: F.T.A. to pay Probation Fee on 02/07/2017

Patrol officers responded to the area of Duke St. in regards to a complaint of a possible burglary. Officers arrived and while investigating the complaint came in contact Erick Deleon. According to reports Deleon was found to have active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. He was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Deleon was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Kevin Roberson, 28 years of age, address: Orange St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/24/2017 @ 10:45 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to pay Fine on 07/19/2016

Kevin Roberson was located and arrested in the area of Mallard St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Roberson was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Heidi Hoffpauir, 48 years of age, address: Francis St. Berwick, La, arrested on 04/21/2017 @ 9:51 a.m.
 

Charges: Warrant: Possession of a Legend Drug (Pantoprazole)
                  Warrant: Two Brake Lights Required

Heidi Hoffpauir was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. According to reports warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in which Hoffpauir was observed operating a vehicle with only one operation brake light. During the investigation officers located suspected Pantoprazole. A warrant was prepared for Houffpauir’s arrest. Houffpauir was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Jamerson Williams, 38 years of age, address: Oregon St. Berwick, La, arrested on 04/21/2017 @ 11:27 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: No Driver’s License

Jamerson Williams was located and arrested at the Berwick Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Williams was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fifth St. in regards to Christopher J. Pollard walking in the area and held active arrest warrants through the Patterson Police. Officers arrived and located Pollard along with a female identified as Miranda J. Topham. According to reports Pollard was observed handing Topham pills. The pills were recovered and identified as Tramadol and Subutex. During the investigation officers located suspected marijuana on the person of Topham along with more Tramadol. Pollard and Topham were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Amanda Castille, 22 years of age, address: Franklin St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/21/2017 @ 3:05 p.m.

Matthew Castille, 25 years of age, address: Franklin St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/21/2017 @ 3:05 p.m.

                  Illegal Use of CDS in the presence of Juveniles

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of US 90 and the occupants were not properly restrained. A stop was initiated and contact was made with the operator of the vehicle Matthew Castille. According to reports the officer detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Amanda Castille along with a small child in the rear seat. Castille was advised of the odor the officer detected at which time he admitted that he had marijuana in the vehicle. Search of the vehicle produced the suspected marijuana along with drug paraphernalia. Amanda Castille stated that she had knowledge of the marijuana in the vehicle. The area where the incident took place was within a Drug Free Zone. Both Matthew and Amanda were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Broderick D. Junifer, 28 years of age, address: Federal Ave. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/21/2017 @ 7:11 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Battery

Broderick D. Junifer was located and arrested in the area of Federal Ave. on an active arrest warrant held  by the Morgan City Police. According to reports the warrant  stems from an investigation conducted by officers in April of 2017 when the victim alleges they were struck by Junifer. Junifer was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Shelia Johnson, 42 years of age, address: Birch St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/21/2017 @ 7:50 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                  Aggravated Assault

Officers responded to the area of Short St. in regards to a disturbance. According to reports officers arrived and during the investigation the victim alleges that Shelia Johnson attempt to stab them with an ice pick. Johnson was located and found to be in an intoxicated state. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Christopher Fryar was located and arrested in the area of Tupelo St. on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. According to reports when Fryar was taken into custody officers located suspected methamphetamine on his person. The area where this incident took place is within a Drug Free Zone. Fryar was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Devon Marsh, 25 years of age, address: Ciro St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/21/2017 @ 11:11 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                  No Turn Signal

Patrol officers observed a vehicle negoitate a turn in the area of Federal Avenue failing to signal. A stop was initiated at which time Devon Marsh was identifed as the operator. According to reports during the investigation it was learned that Marsh’s driver’s license was under suspension. Marsh was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Oscar E. Rodriguez, 22 years of age, address: Everett St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/22/2017 @ 7:41 p.m.

                  Warrant: F.T.A. to pay Fine on 05/31/2016

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of LA 182 traveling at a high rate of speed. Radar was activated which registered 47 m.p.h. in a 30 m.p.h. zone. A stop was intiated and Oscar E. Rodriguez was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports during the investigation the vehicle was found to have a switched license plate, no registration and open containers of alcoholic beverages. Rodriguez was found not to have a drivers license and had an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Caleb C. Griffin, 23 years of age, address: Jones St. Berwick, La, arrested on 04/23/2017 @ 2:34 a.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                  Careless Operation

Patrol officers responded to the area of Brashear and Federal Ave. in regards to a single vehicle crash. Officers arrived and observed that the vehicle had struck a utility pole knocking out the power in the area. According to reports Caleb C. Griffin was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage while speaking with Griffin. Griffin was unsure how he had hit the pole. After medical treatment Griffin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for chemical testing. Upon arrival to the jail Griffin provided a sample which registered .163g% blood alcohol content. Griffin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Donna L. Navarro, 56 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/23/ 2017 @ 11:10 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug Free Zone)

Patrol officers responded to the area of Terrebonne St. in regards to a narcotics complaint. Officers arrived and spoke with Donna Navarro who was advised of the reason officers were at her residence. Navarro granted officers permission to search the residence and officers located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The area where the incident took place is within a Drug Free Zone. Navarro was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Ethan Falgout, 18 years of age, address: Lajaunie Ct. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/23/2017 @ 2:37 p.m.

Charges: Theft of Goods

Patrol officers responded to a local business on LA 182 in regards to a shoplifting complaint. Officers arrived and according to reports Ethan Falgout was identified as suspect that had took items from the local business. Falgout allegedly admitted to the theft. Falgout was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Troy Madise, 52 years of age, address: Egle St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/23/2017 @ 4:38 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to pay Fine on 11/17/2015 (No Drivers License)

Troy Madise was located and arrested in the area of Bowman St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Madise was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Michael Hickman 04232017
Michael W. Hickman, 31 years of age, address: Arenz St. Morgan City, La, arrested on 04/23/2017 @ 7:36 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                  Driving under Suspension
                  No Seat Belt

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of LA 182 and the operator was properly restrained. A stop was initiated and Michael W. Hickman was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports during the investigation it was learned that Hickman’s driver’s license was under suspension. The officer also located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Hickman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

George Cooks, 25 years of age, address: Rochel Ln. Gibson, La, arrested on 04/23/2017 @ 9:56 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                  Improper Lighting
                  Resisting an Officer
                  Hold for Terrebonne Parish S.O.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of LA 70 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and the operator identified himself as Jordan Cooks. According to reports they indicate that during the investigation the officer obtained evidence that identified the operator as George Cooks. It was learned that Cook’s drivers license was suspended and he held several active arrest warrants through the Terrebonne Sheriff’s Office. Cooks was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Stephen A. Boyd Jr., 28 years of age, address: Ratcliff Ln. Franklin, La, arrested on 04/24/2017 @ 12:33 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 04/03/2017
                  No Insurance     
                  Switched License Plate
                  No Registration

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling in the area of Railroad Ave. and the plate was registered to a different vehicle then displayed on. The officer initiated a traffic stop and Stephen A. Boyd Jr. was identified as the operator. According to reports the officer learned during the investigation that the vehicle did not have any insurance or registration. It was also learned that Boyd held active arrest warrants through the 16th Judicial Court. Boyd was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

MCPD Seeking Identities of Theft Suspects

*****UPDATE***** 04/25/2017 @ 3:00 p.m.-Thanks to public assistance the subjects depicted in the photographs have been identified and upon further investigation it was learned that these subjects were not involved in the alleged theft. The investigation is on going at this time.

The Morgan City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects in a theft investigation. The three subjects are described as a white female with blonde hair wearing a white shirt and blue shorts, a white male wearing a red shirt with black stripes and a red and black hat, and a white male wearing a white shirt with sunglasses and what appears to be a New York Yankees baseball hat. According to reports the investigation began in April of 2017 when the three entered the Cricket Wireless in Morgan City, LA and asked to view some phones. While the employee was distracted the subjects allegedly ran out of the store with the devices. UPDATE ON CRASH INVESTIGATION INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN FROM THE WEEKEND

Pedestrian Crash

On Saturday April 22, 2017 @ 11:31 p.m. a patrol officer with the Morgan City Police Department was in the area of LA 182 and Ditch Avenue in Morgan City, LA. The officer observed a male subject enter LA 182 from the north side of the highway directly in front of a 2012 Lincoln MKZ that was traveling east bound. According to reports the officer observed the subject stop in the middle of the highway directly in front of the vehicle. The subject was struck by the vehicle and suffered substantial injuries. The male subject, identified as 42 year old Benjamin T. Wever of Morgan City, was transported to Lafayette, LA due to his injuries and is currently listed in stable but guarded condition. The driver of the vehicle was not cited in relation to the crash. Chemical test were administered and alcohol is not  suspected as a factor in the crash in regards to the driver.

MCPD Investigates Crash Involving a Pedestrian

The Morgan City Police Department responded to the area of LA 182 near Ditch Ave. in regards to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at 11:46 p.m. According to reports a male subject exited a local business in the area of LA 182, entered the roadway in front of a vehicle and was struck. Identities of the parties involved are not being released at this time pending notification of the family. The male subject was transported to Lafayette due to his injuries and is listed in stable condition. The crash is still under fruther investigation.
