Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 43 calls for service. The following person was arrested as a result, beginning on 05/30/2017:

Joel A. Lousalot, 30 years of age, Address- Cayce St. Franklin, La. was arrested on 05/30/2017 @ 1:43 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Possession of Stolen Thing over $1500.00

   Joel Lousalot was transported from the Franklin Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident on May 25, 2017, in which it is alleged that Lousalot was in possession of a stolen boat valued at $10,000 in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. Lousalot was booked and incarcerated.

Shantel Flores, 40 years of age, Address- Sebby Lane Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2017 @ 12:00 am.

Charge:  Possession of Sch II Drug- Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute

                Possession of Sch IV Drug- Clonazepam with Intent to Distribute
                Illegal Carry of a Weapon in the Presence of CDS
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

                Violation of Uniform CDS – Drug-Free Zone


   A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave., observed a vehicle going faster than the posted speed and failed to use a turn signal while turning on the US 90 up ramp.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Shantel Flores was asked to produce a valid driver’s license.  Reports indicate that Flores behavior aroused the officer’s suspicion that she was possibly involved in illegal drug activity. Consent was given to search the vehicle. Located was a large amount of suspected methamphetamine packaged for sale, several pills identified as Clonazepam, items used to smoke illegal narcotics, and a firearm was located in the vehicle. The area of the traffic stop was within 2000 ft. of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone. Flores was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Antonio M. Giandelone, 29 years of age, Address- Lafayette, La. was arrested on 05/25/2017 @ 2:34 pm.

Charge:   Wrong Way on One Way Street
                 Warrant- Failure to Pay Probation Fee

   A patrol officer observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Victor II Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Antonio Giandelone asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A warrant check was done Giandelone and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Giandelone was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Patrick D. Guarisco, 53 years of age, Address- Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2017 @ 8:08 pm.
 
Charge: Obstructing Public Passages
                Possession of Marijuana
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  Officers responded to the area of Fig St. and Veterans Blvd. in regards a driver asleep inside the vehicle, possibly under the influence of illegal narcotics. Officers arrived and the driver was identified as Patrick Guarisco.  According to reports, officers located suspected marijuana in Guarisco’s possession and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. Guarisco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Dwayne Clark, 45 years of age, Address- Mount St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/25/2017 @ 7:58 pm. 

Charge: Possession of Schedule II- Crack Cocaine
               Required Position and Method of Turning at Intersection

   Detectives with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 182 and Martin Luther King Blvd. avoid the red traffic signal by turning into the parking lot of a local business and enter onto Hwy 182. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Dwayne Clark was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. According to reports, while talking to Clark, the officer noticed suspected crack cocaine on the passenger seat of the vehicle. Clark was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result, beginning on 05/23/2017:


Patrick D. Guarisco, 53 years of age, Address- Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/23/2017 @ 7:58 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Synthetic Marijuana
                Possession of Marijuana
                Violation of Uniform CDS Law- Drug-Free Zone
     Officers responded to a residence on Front St. in regards to a disturbance. Upon arriving, reports indicate that a witness stated to officers that Patrick Guarisco was under the influence of some type of narcotic and was causing a disturbance. Officers made contact with Guarisco inside the home. Guarisco gave officers consent to search his person and officers located suspected synthetic marijuana and marijuana. Guarisco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. Guarisco’s residence is within 2000 ft. of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone.

Kayla M. Aucoin, 23 years of age, Address- Cross Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/23/2017 @ 2:20 pm.

Charge:  Improper Lane Usage
                Possession of Schedule II Drug – Methamphetamine
                Illegal Use of CDS in Presence of Persons Under 17
                Warrant- Failure to Comply with the Conditions of Drug Court (St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office)

   A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 and Roderick St., observed a vehicle weaving in the left lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Kayla Aucoin. The officer also observed two small children inside of the vehicle. Aucoin was asked to produce a valid driver’s license, also a local warrant check was done. It was determined that Aucoin held active warrants for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court.  The officer also located suspected methamphetamine on Aucoin’s person. Aucoin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

 

Eric T. Gaskins, 36 years of age, Address- Friendship Ally Amelia, La. was arrested on 0523/2017 @ 8:24 pm.

Charge:  No Driver’s License
                No Headlights
                Warrant-Failure to Pay Probation Fees

    An officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Eleventh St., observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Eric Gaskins. Gaskins was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Gaskins did not have valid driver’s license. Gaskins also held an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court. Gaskins was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Aaron M. Dinger, 24 years of age, Address- Jupiter St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/23/2017 @ 9:00 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)

   Aaron Dinger was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for outstanding warrants held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Dinger was booked and incarcerated.


Tirrel J. Jones, 21 years of age, Address-Joey St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 05/23/2017 @ 11:37 pm.

Charge:  Tail Lights Required
                 Driving Under Suspension

   An officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Cottonwood St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Tirrel Jones. Jones was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Jones’ driver’s license was under suspension. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Michael S. Cairns, Address- Hwy 662 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/23/2017 @ 10:30 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Synthetic Marijuana
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                Violation of Uniform CDS Law- Drug-Free Zone

   The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop on Utah St. Michael Cairns was a passenger in the vehicle. Cairns gave officers consent to search his person and officers located suspected synthetic marijuana and items used smoke illegal narcotics. The area of the traffic stop was within 2000 ft. of an elementary school which is a drug-free zone.  Cairns was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 96-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 158 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result, beginning on 05/26/2017:


Randy A. Plessala Jr., 44 years of age, Address- Sandi St. Patterson, La. was arrested on 05/26/2017 @ 12:00 am.


Charge:  Possession of Sch II CDS- Oxycontin
              Required Position and Method Turning at Intersection
                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   A patrol officer in the area of LA 70 and Victor II Blvd. observed a vehicle disregard a red traffic signal on LA 70 and turn into a parking lot of a local business to enter onto Victor Il Blvd. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Randy Plessala was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. During the course of the investigation, Plessala had given the officer consent to search his person. The officer located a pill identified as Oxycontin and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. Plessala was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Joel Landry, 32 years of age, Address- Hwy 70 Pierre Part, La. was arrested on 05/26/2017 @ 9:00 pm.

               Driving Under Suspension
                Warrant- Failure to Appear for Possession of Marijuana (Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office)

   An officer in the area of Victor II Blvd. near Myrtle St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Joel Landry was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Landry’s driver’s license was under suspension. Landry also held  an active warrant for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Officer. Landry was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Johnny L. White, 45 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/27/2017 @ 4:30 am.

Lia Evans, 26 years of age, Address- Eleventh St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/27/2017 @ 4:30 am.

                Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

 
   Officers responded to a residence on Eleventh St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived they spoke to Johnny White. According to reports, White stated that he and his girlfriend, Lia Evans were having a verbal altercation, which later turned physical. Officers then spoke to Evans and reports indicate that she did admit to having a physical altercation with White. Evans also appeared intoxicated. A warrant check revealed that White held an outstanding warrant for the Sixth Ward City Court.  Both Evans and White were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Bradley E. Druilhet, 30 years of age, Address- Adams St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/27/2017 @ 11:36 am.


Charge:  Warrant- Criminal Neglect of Family (St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office)

                Warrant- Domestic  Abuse Battery (Berwick Police Department)

                Warrant- Probation Violation (Office of Probation & Parole)

 A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Federal Ave. observed a vehicle swerving in the lane. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Bradley Druilhet. Druilhet was asked to produce a valid driver’s license.  A warrant check on Druilhet revealed that he held active warrants for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court, Berwick Police Department and the Office of Probation and Parole. Druilhet was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.



Kane R. Thomas, 28 years of age, Address- Charenton , La was arrested on 05/27/2017 @ 5:25 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear (Hit & Run)

  Kane Thomas was transported from the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville, La. to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Thomas was booked and incarcerated.


Rony A. Avila, 20 years of age, Address- Egle St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/27/2017 @ 9:06 pm.

Charge:  No Headlights

                No Driver’s License

                Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle

  A patrol officer in the area of Hwy 182 near Eleventh St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Rony Avila was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. While talking to Avila, the officer observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. A computer check revealed that Avila did not have a valid driver’s license. Avila was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Devon Marsh, 25 years of age, Address- Ciro St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/28/2017 @ 2:00 am.

Charge: Simple Battery

   Officers responded to a residence on Park Rd. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim. According to reports, the victim stated that she and Devon Marsh had gotten into a verbal altercation that later turned physical. Officers did notice marks on the victim. Marsh was located inside the residence, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Jarvis Melton, 31 years of age, Address- Garber St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/28/2017 @ 8:50 am.

Charge:  Driving Under Suspension

                Possession of Synthetic Marijuana

                Careless Operation

   Officers responded to a residence on Sixth St. in regards to a vehicle that had run into a fence.  Officers came into contact with the driver, Jarvis Melton. Melton was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Melton’s driver’s license was under suspension. Officers also located suspected synthetic marijuana on Melton’s person. Melton was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jessica Rodriquez, 35 years of age, Address- Tupelo St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/28/2017 @ 5:14 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Failure to Appear for Drug Court (3cts) St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office

   Jessica Rodriquez was located at her residence on Tupelo St. and placed under arrest for active warrants she held for the Sixteenth Judicial District Court. Rodriquez was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.  


Joseph Boudoin, 28 years of age, Address- River Rd. Berwick, La. was arrested on 05/28/2017 @ 5:25 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Unauthorized Entry of Inhabited Dwelling

   Joseph Boudoin was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Police Department for an active warrant  for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in March of 2017, which alleges that Boudoin entered a residence without the owner’s permission. Boudoin was booked and incarcerated.



Benjamin Cheramine, 46 years of age, Address- Second St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 05/28/2017 @ 9:39 pm.

Charge: Warrant- Theft by Fraud

                Warrant- Possession of Stolen Things

Benjamin Cheramine was located by officers on Franklin St. A warrant check revealed that Cheramine held active warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an incident in May of 2016 in which it alleges that Cheramine brought stolen items to a local pawn shop. Cheramine was booked and incarcerated.



Christopher J. Vicardis, 35 years of age, Address- New Iberia, La. was arrested on 05/28/2017 @ 10:35pm

Charge: Possession of Marijuana

Christopher H. Cormier, 25 years of age, Address- New Iberia, La. was arrested on 05/28/2017 @ 10:35 pm.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana

A patrol officer responded to a stalled vehicle on US 90, the driver of the vehicle, Christopher Viscardis stated that he had run out of gasoline. While speaking to Viscardis the officer noticed suspected marijuana on the center console. The passenger of the vehicle, Christopher Cormier was asked to exit the vehicle. According to reports, neither Vicardis  nor Cormier had knowledge of how the suspected marijuana got into the vehicle. Both Vicardis and Cormier were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Eric R. Gilmore, 34 years of age, Address- Apple St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/29/2017 9:34 am.

Charge: Domestic Abuse Battery

   Officers responded to a residence on Apple St. in regards to a disturbance.  When officers arrived they noticed that the victim had marks on her arms and face. According to reports, the victim stated that Eric Gilmore had committed a battery on her. Officers located Gilmore in the residence and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking incarceration.

Patrick D. Guarisco, 53 years of age, Address- Front St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 3:33 pm.

   Officers responded to a residence on Front St. in regards someone smoking marijuana on the property.  The witness pointed out the individual, who was identified as Patrick Guarisco. Officers did locate suspected marijuana on Guarisco’s person and items used to smoke illegal narcotics. The location of the residence is within 2000 ft of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone.   Guarisco was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Brandon L. Boudreaux, 31 years of age, Address- Franklin St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 8:00 pm.

Loretta Moore, 43 years of age, Address- Roderick St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 8:27 pm.

   The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at a residence on Roderick St. When officers entered, they came into contact with Loretta Moore and a child under the age of seventeen. Officers searched the residence and located suspected marijuana packaged for sale, suspected marijuana plants, and suspected methamphetamine. Also, there were items used to smoke illegal narcotics found.  The location of the residence is located within 2000 ft. of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone. Moore was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Anthony Dixon, 27 years of age, Address- Everett St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/24/2017 @ 9:08 pm.

Charge:  Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

                Obstruction of Justice
                Violation of Uniform CDS Law- Drug-Free Zone

   A patrol officer in the area of Federal Ave. and Egle St. observed a vehicle with a driver not wearing a seatbelt. According to reports, prior to the vehicle stopping, the officer observed an objected thrown from the passenger side window. The traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Brandon Poole was asked to produce a valid driver’s license.  The passenger inside the vehicle was identified as Anthony Dixon. Officers retrieved the item thrown, which was a large amount of suspected marijuana packaged for sale. Consent was given to search the vehicle and items used to smoke illegal narcotics were found. The location of the traffic stop was located within 2000 ft. of an elementary school, which is a drug-free zone. A computer check revealed that Poole did not have a valid driver’s license.  Both Poole and Dixon were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 35 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result, beginning on 05/22/2017:


Harvey J. Morgan, 36 years of age, Address- Rose Park Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 05/22/2017 @ 4:30 pm.

Charge:  Warrant- Theft of Goods (St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office)  

   Harvey Morgan was located by officers in the area of Myrtle St. A warrant check was done on Morgan and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office. Morgan was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.


Douglas Marks, 46 years of age, Address- Utah St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 05/22/2017 @ 5:35 pm.

Charge- Possession of Synthetic Marijuana
               Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

   Officers responded to a local hotel on Roderick St. in regards to an individual causing a disturbance. When officers arrived, they made contact with the individual, identified as Douglas Marks. According to reports, Marks appeared intoxicated. Officers also located suspected synthetic marijuana in Marks’ possession. Marks was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
