Shade Suire was located and arrested in the area of Chestnut Dr. on active arrest warrants held by the 16^th Judicial Court. Suire was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Meghan R. Scarbrough, 30 years of age, address: Hwy 668 Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/05/2018 @ 12:00 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a removal of a subject. Officers arrived when Matthew T. Rollins was identified. Rollins was found to be in an intoxicated state. Rollins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jaleesha Hamilton, 38 years of age, Mississippi, arrested on 07/05/2018 @ 7:13 p.m.

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of Seventh St. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived when Jaleesha Hamilton was identified. According to reports, Hamilton allegedly took items valued at $25.73 without paying for them. Hamilton was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Tyler Brewer, 25 years of age, address: Charlotte Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 07/06/2018 @ 2:45 a.m.

Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery

Tyler Brewer was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 5, 2018, when officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and learned that the parties involved had already departed the scene. The victim later filed a report with the Morgan City Police Department in regards to a battery that had been committed. Tyler Brewer was identified during the investigation. Allegedly Brewer struck the victim during an altercation. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Brewer’s arrest. Brewer was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of MLK Blvd. negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Tarrike M. Phillips was identified as the operator of the vehicle. K-9 Lady with the Morgan City Police Department K-9 Division was utilized and alerted to the presence of narcotic odor in the vehicle. According to reports, Phillips was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Phillips was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Breiana M. Gant was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on March 27, 2018, when they responded to the area of Bowman St. in regards to a complaint of a battery that had been committed. Officers arrived when Breiana M. Gant was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Gant and the victim were involved in an altercation the night before when Gant allegedly struck the victim with a weapon. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Gant’s arrest. Gant was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of Catherine St. in regards to a trespassing complaint. Officers arrived when Erik S. Driskill was located inside of the residence. Evidence was uncovered that Driskill had no authorization to enter the home. Driskill was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle in the area of LA 182 being operated in an erratic manner. A stop was initiated when Danny M. Fulks was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Bricelon L. Martin was an occupant. According to reports, Fulks and Martin were found to be in possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Fulks was additionally found to hold several active arrest warrants through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court and his Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Fulks and Martin were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to LA 70 in regards to a crash. Officers arrived when Riley R. Piper was identified as the operator of the lone vehicle involved. According to reports, Piper was found to be in an intoxicated state. Piper performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. K-9 Lady was utilized and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. Piper was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Piper was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which she submitted to registering .000g% blood alcohol content. A urine sample was obtained and is pending analysis at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. Piper was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of Railroad Ave. A stop as initiated when Damion T. Lynch was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Kevin Lynch was an occupant. According to reports, the Lynch’s were found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division continued their investigation into the recent burglaries in the Lakeside and Wyandotte Subdivisions. Investigators were able to link Ayers to burglaries that had occurred on June 5, 2018. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Ayers’ arrest. Ayers, who was already incarcerated on other charges, was located and arrested at the Morgan City Jail. Ayers was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. This investigation is still ongoing.

Glenn M. Mitchell, 30 years of age, address: Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, La., arrested on 07/03/2018 @ 4:21 p.m.

Glenn M. Michell was located and arrested at the Morgan City Court for 3 counts of Direct Contempt of Court. Mitchell was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to counterfeit money. Officers arrived when Christen H. Brown was identified. According to reports, Brown allegedly attempted to cash in the bill for change when it was discovered to be counterfeit. Brown fled the area prior to police arriving. Evidence was located linking Brown to the crime. A short time later Brown was located in the area of LA 182. Brown was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Officers arrived when Billie Driskill was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Driskill allegedly struck the victim during the altercation and damaged the victim's property. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Driskill’s arrest. Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated when Xavier J. McGhee was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division with the assistance from the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Section executed a search warrant in the area of Oriole St. Cory Jones and Danielle Jones were identified during the investigation. According to reports, investigators located suspected Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia. Evidence was uncovered that the Methamphetamine was intended to be sold in illicit sales. There were three children located inside the residence and the area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Wilbert S. Harrison, 33 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/27/2018 @ 5:58 p.m.

Shaysa C. Thomas was located and arrested in the area of Marguerite St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division on June 20, 2018, while investigating several burglaries that had occurred in the Lakeside and Wyandotte Areas. During the investigation a Patton St. address was identified where some of the stolen property was located. A search warrant was executed on the residence where investigators located stolen property in connection to these burglaries. In addition, investigators located suspected Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia, Shaysa C. Thomas as one of the suspects in the investigation. Evidence was uncovered that that suspected Marijuana was intended to be sold in illicit sales. A large amount of U.S. Currency was located that is believed to be derived from those sales. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Thomas’ arrest. Thomas was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated. The investigation is still ongoing.

Leah M. Owens, 40 years of age, address: Fifth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/27/2018 @ 8:55 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Burglary

Leah M. Owens was located and arrested in the area of Fifth St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 15, 2018, when Owens was identified as a suspect in a burglary of a residence that had occurred in the area of Railroad Ave. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Owens’ arrest. Owens was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Joseph J. Jessie was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 26, 2018, when officers responded to a local establishment in the area of LA 70 in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived when Jessie was identified as taking items valued at $67.70 without paying for them. Jessie had departed the store prior to officers arrival, therefore, warrants were prepared for his arrest. Jessie was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
