Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 130 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/27/2018:

Dmarcus Holly, 22 years of age, Address- Friendship Ally, Amelia, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 7:47 am.

Charge: Driving Under Suspension

A patrol officer in the area of Seventh St. observed a driver of a vehicle not wearing a seat belt. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Dmarcus Holly was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. A computer check revealed that Holly’s driver’s license was suspended. Holly was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

DeMarcus S. Roy, 25 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 9:20 am.

DeMarcus Roy was transported from the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the 6^th Ward City Court. Roy was booked and incarcerated.

John F. Sanford, 49 years of age, Address-Fourth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 5:00 pm.

John Sanford was located at a residence on Spruce St. and placed under arrest for active warrants he held for the 6^th Ward City Court. Sanford was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Erica Boudreaux, 30 years of age, Address- Grizsaffi St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 5:21 pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Offensive Language

Officers responded to a residence on Roderick St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and were told by witnesses that Erica Boudreaux had been yelling and using profanities and had been asked to leave the area several times. Officer located Boudreaux in the area and placed her under arrest. Boudreaux transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Caleb A. Guerrero, 27 years of age, Address- South Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/27/2018 @ 11:40 am.

Charge: Criminal Trespass
Driving Under Suspension

Officers responded to a residence on Sixth St. in regards to an individual trespassing. According to reports, the victim stated that Caleb Guerrero had come onto the property without permission, wanting to cause a disturbance. Officers located Guerrero and reports indicate that he admitted to driving to the residence and going onto the property. A computer check revealed that Guerrero license was under suspension. Guerrero was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Letoria Grogan, 29 years of age, Address- St. Claire St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/28/2018 @ 3:22 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear for Sentencing (2cts)

Letoria Grogan was located in the area of LA Hwy 70 and it was determined that she held active warrants for the 6^th Ward City Court. Grogan was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Corie J. Wriborg, 28 years of age, Address- Bayou Black Dr. Gibson, La. was arrested on 07/28/2018 @ 4:10 pm.

Charge: Use of Certain Wireless Telecommunications

                  Possession of a Legend Drug- Topiramate

   An officer patrolling the area of LA Hwy 182 near Martin Luther King Blvd. observed a driver of a vehicle texting while driving. A traffic stop was conducted and Corie Wriborg was identified as the driver. According to reports, the officer could smell an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Wriborg gave the officer consent to search the vehicle. Located in the vehicle were suspected marijuana and a pill identified as Topiramate. Wriborg was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Luis A. Zuniga-Balderas, 29 years of age, Address- Laurel St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/28/2018 @ 6:55 pm.

Charge: Resisting an Officer- False Information
No Turn Signal
No Driver’s License

An officer in the area of Railroad Ave and Headland St. observed a vehicle turn onto Headland St. without using a turn signal. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Reports indicate that the driver gave the officer a license that the picture did not match his appearance. The driver was later identified as Luis Zuniga-Balderas and he did not possess a valid driver’s license. Zuniga-Balderas was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Alyssa Acosta, 26 years of age, Address- Eighth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 3:46 pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Officers responded to Allison St. in regards to an individual that appears to be under the influence of an illegal substance walking in the area. The individual was located on Allison St. and identified as Alyssa Acosta. Reports indicate that Acosta did appear intoxicated. Acosta was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Edward J. Trimm Jr, 43 years of age, Address- Ciro St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/30/2018 @ 12:45 am.

Charge: Warrant- Theft under $1000.00

Edward Trimm was located in the area of LA Hwy 182 and it was determined that he held an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in April of 2006, which alleges that Trimm committed a theft of $ 100.00. Trimm was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

SUSPECT IDENTIFIED IN LAKESIDE BURGLARIES ARRESTED

Jordan Poole, 19 years of age, address: Filmore St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 2:52 p.m.

Charges: Simple Burglary (2 counts)
Theft under $1,000

Jordan Poole was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division that began on July 15, 2018, in regards to burglaries of vehicles in the Lakeside area. Video surveillance of Poole was captured by surveillance systems burglarizing vehicles in the area of Diane Dr. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Poole's arrest. Upon being taken into custody Poole allegedly identified himself in surveillance photos. Poole was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. The investigation is still ongoing.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 46 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/24/2018:
Nathaniel L. Wicks, 20 years of age, address: 79 Pines Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/24/2018 @ 8:00 a.m.

Nathaniel L. Wicks was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Wicks was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patricia P. St. Martin, 56 years of age, address: Cayce St. Franklin, La., arrested on 07/24/2018 @ 8:33 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Improper Turning

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Patricia P. St. Martin was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, St. Martin was found to be in possession of Drug Paraphernalia. St. Martin was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Paizley E. Gros, 22 years of age, address: Landry Ln. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/24/2018 @ 8:50 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 06/28/2018(3 counts)

Paizley E. Gros was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Gros was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Tara Oubre, 28 years of age, address: Louisa St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/24/2018 @ 9:55 a.m.

Tara Oubre was located and arrested in the area of Railroad Ave. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on July 10, 2018, when officers responded to the Morgan City Police Department in regards to a theft. According to reports, Oubre allegedly took money totaling $904.99 from the victim. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Oubre’s arrest. Oubre was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Leroy J. Bailey, 32 years of age, address: Louisa St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/24/2018 @ 10:04 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Criminal Damage to Property

Leroy J. Bailey was located and arrested in the area of Belanger St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 20, 2018, when officers responded to the area of Louisa St. in regards to a damage to property complaint. Officers arrived when Bailey was identified as allegedly damaging property belonging to the victim. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Bailey’s arrest. Bailey was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Trinity Harris, 19 years of age, address: Patton St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/24/2018 @ 4:08 p.m.

Trinity Harris was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 21, 2018, when officers responded to the area of Keith St. in regards to a trespassing complaint. Officers arrived when Harris was identified as allegedly trespassing on the property of the victim after being told not to return. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Harris’ arrest. Harris was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Leroy J. Bailey was located and arrested in the area of Belanger St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on June 23, 2018, when officers responded to the area of Front St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Bailey was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Bailey allegedly struck the victim during a verbal altercation. Property of the victim was also allegedly damaged. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Bailey’s arrest. Bailey was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

   Agatha McCleary was located at her residence and placed under arrest for active warrants she held for the Morgan City Police Department. An incident that occurred in June alleges that McCleary came onto the victim’s property and allowed her animal to defecate on the lawn. An investigation was also conducted on an incident that occurred on July 10, 2018; which alleges that McCleary used a motor vehicle without the owner's permission. McCleary was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Ethan M. Mensman, 21 years of age, Address: Riverview Dr. Patterson, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 8:30 am.

Charge: Possession with Intent to Distribute Sch II CDS- Methamphetamine

Officers responded to a residence on Roderick St. in regards to an individual that was not allowed on the property. Officers were able to locate the individual identified as Ethan Mensman. Reports indicate that while talking to officers, Mensman appeared nervous. Officers were given consent to search Memsman backpack and located suspected methamphetamine which was packaged for sale and drug paraphernalia was also located. Mensman was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Katherine V. Stoute, 25 years of age, Address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 11:39 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (3cts)

Katherine Stoute was located at her residence and placed under arrest for active warrants she held for the 6^th Ward City Court. Stout was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Colby T. Nicholas, 18 years of age, Address: Wren St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 2:14 pm.

Warrant- Possession with Intent to Distribute Synthetic Marijuana

Officers responded a residence on Roderick St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and made contact with a juvenile age 16 and another juvenile age 14 along with Colby Nicholas. According to reports, the juveniles and Nicholas admitted to being in a physical altercation with each other. The juveniles and Nicholas were placed under arrest. It was also determined that Nicholas held an active warrant with the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division on July 6, 2018, in which suspected synthetic marijuana packaged for sale was located at Nicholas’ residence. All subjects were transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration. The juveniles were released to their guardians.

Lindsey Fernandez, 31 years of age, Address: Delmar St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 4:00 pm.

Lindsey Fernandez was placed under arrest in the City Court of Morgan City. Fernandez was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Joseph J. Jessie, 39 years of age, Address: Utah St. Berwick, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 4:00 pm.

Amber Theriot was located on Duke St. and placed under arrest for active warrants she held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division on July 24, 2018, in which a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle driven by Theriot. During that time, officers located suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. Theriot was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Dale Fromenthal, 62 years of age, Address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 9:15 pm.

Charge: Possession of Sch II CDS Crack Cocaine

Officers came into contact with Dale Fromenthal in the area of Sixth St. During the course of the investigation, officers located suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in Fromenthal’s possession. Fromenthal was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Cherie A. Welch, 25 years of age, Address- Teche Court Morgan City, La. was arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 11:42 pm.

Cherie Welch was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic stop on LA Hwy 70. When officers made contact with Welch, suspected synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in her possession. Welsh was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Patrol officers responded to a local business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived when Rose M. Harwell and Charles E. Ferguson were identified. According to reports, Harwell and Ferguson allegedly took items valued at $41.25 without paying for them. Harwell and Ferguson were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail. Once at the Morgan City Jail Ferguson was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Harwell and Ferguson were booked and incarcerated.

Johnny Deberry, 62 years of age, address: Fourth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/25/2018 @ 7:28 p.m.

Charges: Simple Assault

Patrol officers responded to the area of Fourth St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Johnny Deberry was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Deberry allegedly brandished a knife during a verbal altercation and threatened the victim. Evidence was uncovered linking Deberry to the crime. Deberry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 with improper lighting. A stop was initiated when Ronald D. Wildebrandt was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Wilderbrandt was found to be in an intoxicated state. Wilderbrandt performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Wilderbrandt was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he refused to submit to. Wilderbrandt was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Samouree E. O. Randle, 30 years of age, address: General Patton St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/26/2018 @ 2:34 a.m.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 in an erratic manner. Officers attempted to initiate a stop when the vehicle continued to travel several blocks, stopping in the area of General Patton St. Samouree E. O. Randle was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Craig O. Robinson was identified as an occupant. According to reports, Robinson provided officers with a false name upon initial contact. Robinson was found to be in possession of a firearm. A Records check indicates that Robinson was a convicted felon which prohibits him from possessing a firearm. Randle and Robinson were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Resisting an Officer

Officers with the Morgan City Police Department encountered a subject in the jail lobby that was screaming and yelling profanities and was frightening other patrons. Ryan J. Kemp was identified. Kemp was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Kemp was arrested and brought into the jail facility. According to reports, Kemp continued to yell profanities and resisted officers in an attempt to place him in a holding cell. Officers were able to subdue Kemp. Kemp was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.
