MCPD Arrest Report 06/15/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 43 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/14/2018:
Luis Garcia, 34 years of age, address: Willow St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/14/2018 @ 4:22 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Warrant: Probation Violation

Patrol officers responded to the area of Brashear Ave. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Luis Garcia was identified as being one of the parties involved. According to reports, Garcia was found to be in an intoxicated state. Garcia was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and held an active arrest warrant through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Garcia was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Robert Rainey, 34 years of age, address: Glenwood St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/14/2018 @ 7:07 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Failure to Return Leased Movables

Robert Rainey was located and arrested in the area of Aycock St. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on April 20, 2018, when a report was filed by a local business that Rainey had leased property from the establishment and never paid for or returned said property. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Rainey’s arrest. Rainey was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Warren Brown, 37 years of age, address: LA 1 Labadieville, La., arrested on 06/14/2018 @ 7:07 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 03/23/2017

A stop was initiated on a vehicle for disregarding a traffic control in the area of Aycock St. in which Warren Brown was an occupant of. According to reports, Brown was found to hold an active arrest warrant through the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office. Brown was also found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Brown was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.  

Quaneshia S. Pollard, 24 years of age, address: M St. Patterson, La., arrested on 06/15/2018 @ 1:48 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to the use of illegal narcotics in one of the rooms. Officers arrived when Quaneshia S. Pollard was identified. According to reports, Pollard was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. The area where the incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Pollard was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Shelby L. Tompkins, 26 years of age, address: Susan Ct. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/15/2018 @ 3:53 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to the use of illegal narcotics in one of the rooms. Officers arrived when Shelby L. Tompkins was identified. According to reports, Tompkins was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Tompkins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

MCPD Arrest Report 06/13/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 49 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/12/2018:

Jesse L. Comeaux Jr., 24 years of age, address: Levee Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/12/2018 @ 7:29 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Criminal Damage to Property

Jesse L. Comeaux Jr. was located and arrested in the area of Levee Rd. on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on April 18, 2018, when Comeaux allegedly caused damage to property in the area of Franklin St. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Comeaux’s arrest. Comeaux was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Atlas White 06122018

Atlas J. White, 26 years of age, address: Oil Tank Alley Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/12/2018 @ 10:11 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation
                 Warrant: Possession of SCH III CDS (Testosterone)
                 Warrant: Possession of SCH IV CDS (Promethazine)
                 Warrant: Possession of a Legend Drug W/O a Prescription (Trazadone)
                 Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division began an investigation of an incident that occurred in the area of Oil Tank Alley involving a Domestic Violence related incident. When investigators arrived Atlas J. White was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, White allegedly committed a battery on the victim by strangulation. During the course of the investigation, a search warrant was conducted on White’s residence. Investigators located evidence of the altercation along with suspected Testosterone, Promethazine, Trazadone, and Drug Paraphernalia. White had received medical treatment for injuries received during the altercation therefore the investigation continued and warrants were prepared for his arrest. White was located and arrested in the area of Federal Ave. on the active arrest warrant. White was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Cameron H. Jackson, 19 years of age, address: Sun Rd. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/13/2018 @ 11:20 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Morgan L. Minor, 17 years of age, address: Halsey St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/13/2018 @ 11:20 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of Tobacco under 18 years of age
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 

Officers with the Morgan City Police Department Bike Patrol initiated contact with two subjects in a vehicle in the area of Halsey St. Cameron H. Jackson and Morgan L. Minor were identified. According to reports, Jackson and Minor were found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia. Minor was further found to be in possession of tobacco. Jackson and Minor were transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 109 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/15/2018:

Jose A. Ramos, 19 years of age, address: Neptune St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/15/2018 @ 2:45 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 02/06/2018

Jose A. Ramos was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on an active arrest warrant held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Ramos was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Richard K. Hawkins, 42 years of age, address: Birch St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/15/2018 @ 3:00 a.m.

Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery

Patrol officers responded to the area of Terrebonne St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Richard K. Hawkins was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Hawkins allegedly struck the victim during a verbal altercation. Hawkins was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jeric J. Bias, 42 years of age, address: Arkansas St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/17/2018 @ 5:46 p.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace

Patrol officers responded to the area of Arkansas St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Jeric J. Bias was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Bias allegedly caused a disturbance during an altercation. Bias was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

MCPD Arrest Report 06/14/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 44 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/13/2018: 

Crystal B. Duhon, 45 years of age, address: Ricohoc Dr. Franklin, La., arrested on 06/13/2018 @ 3:00 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Driving under Suspension
                 Warrant: Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information
                 Warrant: Improper Turning

Crystal B. Duhon was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on November 16, 2017, when officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Sixth St. negotiate an improper turn. A stop was initiated when Crystal B. Duhon was eventually identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Duhon provided officers with a false identification. Duhon was released on that false identification. Duhon’s real identity was later learned when warrants were prepared for her arrest. Duhon was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

David Allemond 06132018

David J. Allemond, 51 years of age, address: Ashton St. New Iberia, La., arrested on 06/13/2018 @ 8:07 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Possession of SCH II CDS (Cocaine)
                 Possession of a Legend Drug (Baclofen)
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Improper Equipment

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. with improper equipment. A stop was initiated when David J. Allemond was identified. According to reports, Allemond was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana, Cocaine, Baclofen, and Drug Paraphernalia. Allemond was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Steve Berryhill 06132018

Steve A. Berryhill, 47 years of age, address: Fairmont Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/13/2018 @ 11:56 p.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Improper Turning

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of MLK Blvd. A stop was initiated when Steve A. Berryhill was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Berryhill was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine. Berryhill was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Sir Charles Evans 06142018

Sir Charles E. Evans, 39 years of age, address: Oak St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/14/2018 @ 2:52 a.m.

Charges: Domestic Abuse Battery-Strangulation

Patrol officers responded to the area of Oak St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Sir Charles E. Evans was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, Evans allegedly struck and strangled the victim during the altercation. Evans was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Latasha J. Wolf, 31 years of age, address: Hwy 71 Pineville, La., arrested on 06/14/2018 @ 4:04 a.m.

Mariah C. Howard, 24 years of age, address: Everett St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/14/2018 @ 4:04 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Illegal Use of CDS in the presence of Juveniles
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Patrol officers were flagged down in the area of LA 182 by a passing motorist in regards to two small children walking on LA 182 at nearly 11:00 p.m. The two children were located by officers which were 4 and 2 years of age. It was learned that the children were staying at a local motel in the area of LA 182. Officers proceeded to that location and located a 10-month-old child in the room unattended. Latasha J. Wolfe was located in the area who stated that she had come out of her room and observed the room that the children were in with the door open and a small child on the bed without supervision. Mariah C. Howard was identified as the mother other children and officers were advised by Wolfe that Howard had left the area in the vehicle around 8:00 p.m. Officers conducted a safety sweep of the room the children were located in when suspected marijuana was located. The area where this incident had taken place is within a Drug-Free Zone. The Department of Children and Family Services was contacted and the children were released to the care of a family member. Later Mariah C. Howard arrived back at the motel. Officers continued their investigation and learned that Howard had been called to work and she had paid Wolf to babysit the children while she was at work. Evidence was uncovered that corroborated that Howard did, in fact, leave the children in the care of Wolf. Wolf and Howard were both arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 47 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 06/11/2018:
Marquil Singleton, 18 years of age, address: Laurel St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/11/2018 @ 10:40 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Switched License Plate
                 Warrant: Resisting an Officer
                 Warrant: Registration Required
                 Warrant: No Insurance

Marquil Singleton was located and arrested at the Morgan City Police Department on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on May 13, 2018, when officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Second St. with an expired license plate. A stop was initiated when the operator of the vehicle fled on foot and evaded officers. Singleton was identified during the investigation as the subject who had fled. The vehicle Singleton was operating did not have the required registration and did not have proper insurance as required by Louisiana Law. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Singleton’s arrest. Singleton was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Sindy Martinez, 28 years of age, address: Chennault St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/11/2018 @ 11:09 a.m.

Charges: Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
                 No Driver’s License

Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a crash. Officers arrived when Sindy Martinez was identified as one of the parties involved. According to reports, evidence was uncovered during the investigation placing Martinez at fault during the crash. Martinez was also found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Martinez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Samantha R. Jones, 34 years of age, address: Seventh St. Franklin, La., arrested on 06/11/2018 @ 1:30 p.m.

Sidney L. Wainwright, 22 years of age, address: Morgan City, La, arrested on 06/11/2018 @ 1:30 p.m.

Correction Officers with the Morgan City Police Department responded to the Recreation Yard in regards to a disturbance. When they arrived they observed two inmates identified as Samantha R. Jones and Sidney L. Wainwright involved in a fistic encounter. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Morgan City Jail.

Kurtis J. Wesley, 34 years of age, address: Railroad Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 06/12/2018 @ 4:16 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 04/24/2018 (2 counts)(6th Ward)
                 Warrant: Domestic Abuse Battery (Morgan City Police)
                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Trial on 04/30/2018 (16th Judicial)
                 Warrant: Possession of Stolen Things (Patterson Police)

Kurtis J. Wesley was located and arrested in the area of Railroad Ave. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court, Morgan City Police, 16th Judicial Court, and Patterson Police Department. The warrant from the Morgan City Police stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on May 29, 2018, when they responded to the area of Railroad Ave. in regards to a disturbance. According to reports, officers arrived when they learned that Wesley had struck the victim during an altercation. Wesley fled the scene prior to officers arrival. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Wesley’s arrest. Wesley was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
