A patrol officer working an extra duty detail in the area of LA 182 observed a suspicious vehicle speed off from a residence in the area of Everett St. with the trunk of the vehicle still open. The officer relayed the information to patrol officers. Officers arrived in the area when the vehicle in question was located in the area of Duke St. According to reports, the trunk was still open when Gerardo Santiago-Garcia was observed sitting in the truck pulling a city garbage can behind the vehicle. A stop was initiated when Carlos Ruiz-Santos was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Officers observed that there were three sacks of live Crawfish on the back seat of the vehicle. The crawfish were cold as if they had been in a cooler. Officers proceeded to a local business in the area of LA 70 that sells Crawfish. Officers observed that the business had been burglarized. The owner of the business verified that 15 total sacks of Crawfish had been taken and when officers searched the vehicle they located 12 sacks. Video surveillance of the business revealed Ruiz-Santos and Santiago-Garcia as the culprits. There was another building on the property that the subjects attempted to burglarize but never made entry. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers responded to the area Louisa St. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Frank D. Peavy was identified. Peavy was removed from the residence and instructed not to return. Later that morning officers responded back to the residence in regards to Peavy returning. Officers arrived when Peavy was arrested. According to reports, Peavy resisted officers while being taken into custody. Peavy was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. Peavy was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Once at the jail, Tassin was found to be in possession of suspected cocaine. Tassin was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 by Charles A. Duval Jr. Duval was being sought for questioning in an investigation from April 29, 2018, in regards to a hit and run. Duval’s Louisiana Driver’s License was also known to have been under suspension. The vehicle was traveling into Berwick when the officer attempted to initiate a stop. The vehicle had pulled into a local establishment on LA 182 when Duval was observed exiting the vehicle and discarding an object in front of the vehicle. Gia N. Dardeau, who was identified as an occupant, allegedly picked up this item and ran into the local establishment. Dardeau was apprehended inside the establishment when she resisted the officer. According to reports, Dardeau was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. Duval was found to hold several active arrest warrants through the 16^th Judicial and 6^th Ward Morgan City Courts. The vehicle Duval was operating was found to have a license plate displayed that belonged to another vehicle, did not have registration as required, and was not properly insured as required by Louisiana Law. Evidence was uncovered during the investigation linking both Duval and Dardeau to the suspected Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia. Evidence was also uncovered that the drug was intended to be sold in illicit sales. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of Robin St obstructing the roadway. A stop was initiated when Tristan Fabre was identified. According to reports, Fabre was found to be in possession of suspected Marijuana. Fabre also did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License. Records indicate that Fabre had a prior marijuana offense within the past year. Fabre was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Milton B. Green Jr., 31 years of age, address: Willow St. Franklin, La., arrested on 04/30/2018 @ 7:04 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of SCH I CDS (Synthetic Marijuana)

Milton B. Green Jr. was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on an active arrest warrant held by the Morgan City Police. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers on May 10, 2017, when officers responded to the area of LA 70 in regards to a removal of a subject. Officers arrived and Milton B. Green Jr. was identified. According to reports, Green was found to be in possession of suspected Synthetic Marijuana. The investigation continued when warrants were prepared for Green’s arrest. Green was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Hunter M. Breaux, 23 years of age, address: Renee St. Belle River, La., arrested on 04/30/2018 @ 1:13 p.m.

Charges: Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

On April 29, 2018 investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division began an investigation in regards to a runaway juvenile. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Breaux may know the whereabouts of the juvenile. Investigators executed numerous search warrants on the social media accounts belonging to the juvenile and located sexually explicit pictures of Breaux and the juvenile that Breaux had sent the juvenile. During interviews with Breaux, he allegedly admitted to his involvement with the juvenile that all occurred outside of the Morgan City Police Department Jurisdiction. Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation. Warrants were prepared for Breaux’s arrest. Breaux was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated. The investigation is still ongoing.

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived when Robert Norris and Jessica Fears were identified. According to reports, Norris and Fears were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. Allegedly Norris committed a battery on Fears. Fears also allegedly threatened Norris with a Knife during the altercation. The duo was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.
