Patrol officers responded to a local establishment in the area of Fifth St. in regards to a shoplifter. Officers arrived when Samuel P. Gary was identified. Allegedly Gary had taken merchandise valued at $7.15 without paying for it. Gary then fled the store. Gary was located a short time later in the area of Egle St. While attempting to take Gary into custody he fled on foot. He was apprehended after a short chase with officers. Gary was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

A stop was initiated when Francois fled on a bike. He was observed discarding a cellophane bag that was later recovered and contained suspected Marijuana. Francois was apprehended after a short chase and taken into custody. Francois was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Video surveillance positively identified Grogan as the subject who purchased the items. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Grogan’s arrest. Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division encountered Charleston J. Grogan in the area of Wren St. According to reports, Grogan provided investigators with a false name upon initial contact. Grogan was found to hold several active arrest warrants through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court and he was barred from entering upon Morgan City Housing Authority Properties. While conducting their investigation, investigators observed another subject who was identified as Donnell Williams in the area holding a cellophane bag of suspected Marijuana. Williams was also found to be in possession of US Currency that is believed to be derived from the sales of Illegal Narcotics. Evidence was also uncovered that some of the suspected marijuana was destined to be sold in illicit sales. Williams was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court.  Grogan and Williams were both arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 without any head lights illuminated. A stop was initiated when Travis J. Vaughn was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, Vaughn was found to be in an intoxicated stated. Vaughn performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Vaughn was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing which he refused to submit to. A search warrant was obtained for blood to be drawn for analysis which is pending at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. Vaughn was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Mouzakis was an occupant. According to reports, Adams was found to be in possession of suspected Lyrica, Tizanidine, and Trazadone. Mouzakis was found to be in possession of Gabapentin and an open alcoholic beverage. Neither was able to provide valid prescriptions for the medication located. Mouzakis was also found to hold an active arrest warrant through the 6^th Ward Morgan City Court. The bike was not equipped with any lighting or reflectors. Investigators attempted to stop and speak with the subject when the subject fled on the bike. The subject then began to flee on foot when he was apprehended. David T. Francois was identified. Francois was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
