MCPD Arrest Report 12/04/2018

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 12/03/2018:

Krystal L. Meranta, 29 years of age, Address-Clark Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/03/2018 @ 11:22 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines (2cts)

   Krystal Meranta was transported from the Assumption Parish Detention Center to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants she held for the 6th Ward City Court. Meranta was booked and incarcerated.

Mark J. Hash, 44 years of age, Address-Tammy Dr. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/04/2018 @ 3:05 am.

Charge: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

   Officers responded to the parking lot of a business on Marguerite St. in regard to an individual asleep inside a vehicle. Officers arrived and made contact with the individual identified as Mark Hash. While speaking with officers, Hash appeared to be under influence of some type of illegal narcotic. Officers did locate drug paraphernalia in Hash’s possession. Hash was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jermaine Thompson, 33 years of age, Address-Onstead St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/04/2018 @ 7:04 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear-No Insurance

  Jermaine Thompson was located on LA Hwy 70 and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the 6th Ward City Court. Thompson was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 120 calls for service. The following person(s) were arrested as a result beginning on 11/30/2018:


Stephen A. Boyd Jr, 30 years of age, Address-Ratcliff Lane Franklin, La. was arrested on 1/30/2018 @ 2:24 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

   Officers responded to the area of Federal Ave. and Egle St. in regards to an individual causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and Stephen Boyd was identified as the individual causing the disturbance. Boyd also appeared to be intoxicated. Boyd was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Harrison Short, 52 years of age, Address-Willard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/30/2018 @ 11:44 pm.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
               Possession of Marijuana

     Officers responded to a residence on Willard St. in regards to a disturbance. When officers arrived, witnesses identified Harrison Short as the individual causing the disturbance. Officers were able to locate Short on Seventh St. Short appeared intoxicated and suspected marijuana was found in his possession. Short was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.        

Jacob P. Aucoin, 32 years of age, Address-Degravelle Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/01/2018 @ 12:00 am.

Charge: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

   Officers responded to a business on LA Hwy 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with management, who identified Jacob Aucoin as the one causing the disturbance. Officers located Aucoin who appeared to be intoxicated. Aucoin was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Jeremie M. Paul Jr, 28 years of age, Address-Mallard St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/01/2018 @ 8:53 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Criminal Damage to Property

   Jeremie Paul was located in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Martin Luther King Blvd. and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the Morgan City Police Department. The warrant stems from an incident in November that alleges Paul entered the victim’s home and damaged several items. Paul was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Ronald Johnson 12012018

Ronald L. Johnson, 55 years of age, Address-Victor II Blvd. Morgan City, La was arrested on 12/01/2018 @ 9:13 pm.

Charge: Aggravated Assault

   Officers responded to a business on Victor II Blvd. in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke to management who identified Ronald Johnson as the individual causing the disturbance. Reports indicate that Johnson had gotten into a verbal altercation with an employee and later threaten the employee with a knife. Officers located Johnson on Seventh St. and placed him under arrest. Johnson transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Madeline Trosclair

Madeline M. Trosclair, 25 years of age, Address-Edgewood Blvd. Houma, La. was arrested on 12/03/2018 @ 1:05 am.

Charge: Possession of Marijuana
               No Possession of Driver’s License
               Warrant-Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
               Warrant-Failure to Appear (2cts)

Tracie Pitre, 39 years of age, Address-Oak Forest Dr. Gibson, La. was arrested on 12/03/2018 @ 1:05 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear-Domestic Abuse Battery

   An officer in the area of Eighth St. observed a vehicle with improper lighting. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Madeline Trosclair was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. Trosclair did not have her driver’s license in her possession. A warrant check was done on Trosclair and the passenger of the vehicle, Tracie Pitre. It was determined that both Trosclair and Pitre held active warrants for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. Trosclair was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Trosclair and Pitre were placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Mathew J. Giroir, 42 years of age, Address-Stephensville Rd. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 12/03/2018 @ 2:38 am.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Appear

   Mathew Giroir was located on LA Hwy 70 and placed under arrest for an active warrant he held for the 16th Judicial District Court. Giroir was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Chandice Ross 11292018

Candice L. Ross, 32 years of age, Address-Pine St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/29/2018 @ 1:04 pm.

Charge: Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
               Violation of Uniform CDS Law-Drug Free Zone

      The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division along with the assistance of the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole conducted a compliance check at a residence on Pine St. Once at the residence, officers made contact with Candice Ross and another individual. While inside the home, officers located several individually wrapped bags of suspected marijuana. The area that the residence is located is within 2000 feet of an elementary school which is considered a drug-free zone. Ross was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Janis M. Boudreaux, 63 years of age, Address-Louisa St. Morgan City, La. was arrested on 11/28/2018 @ 3:05 pm.

Charge: Warrant-Failure to Pay Fines

   Janis Boudreaux was located at her residence on Louisa St. and placed under arrest for an active warrant for the 6th Ward City Court. Boudreaux was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.

Charles Romero 11302018

Charles E. Romero Jr, 44 years of age, Address-Erath, La. was arrested on 11/30/2018 @ 2:47 am.
Charge: Driving While Intoxicated 2nd Offense
               Driving Under Suspension
               Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle

  An officer in the area of LA Hwy 182 near Florence St. observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Charles Romero was asked to produce a valid driver’s license. While speaking to the officer, Romero appeared intoxicated. A computer check revealed that Romero’s driver’s license was suspended. The officer also observed an open container of an alcoholic beverage inside the vehicle. Romero was asked to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Test and he performed poorly. Romero was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department. Once at the department, Romero refused the chemical test for intoxication. A warrant was obtained for a sample of blood to be withdrawn from Romero. Romero was transported to a medical facility for the retrieval of the sample. The results of the sample are pending. Romero was transported back to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
