MCPD Arrest Report 07/17/2017

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 130 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/14/2017:

Matilda Amos, 24 years of age, address: Pond Dr. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/14/2017 @ 2:10 p.m.

Charges: Simple Battery

Correctional Officers with the Morgan City Jail responded to the cell block in the jail in regards to a disturbance. According to reports, correctional officers learned during their investigation that Matilda Amos had committed a battery on another inmate. Amos was charged and incarcerated in the Morgan City Jail.

Fredis Ramos, 30 years of age, address: Village Ln. Amelia, La., arrested on 07/14/2017 @ 9:25 p.m.

Charges: Speeding 37 m.p.h./25 m.p.h. Zone

                 Open Container in a Motor Vehicle

Marvin Gonzales, 26 years of age, address: Louisa St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/14/2017 @ 9:31 p.m.

Charges: Open Container in a Motor Vehicle

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling at 37 m.p.h. in a 25 m.p.h. zone in the area of Sixth St. A stop was initiated and Fredis Ramos was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Ramos did not possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and was in possession an open alcoholic beverage. Marvin Gonzales was a passenger in the vehicle and was also found to be in possession of an open alcoholic beverage. Ramos and Gonzales were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Kevin Rodriguez 07172017
Kevin Rodriguez, 44 years of age, address: Onstead St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/15/2017 @ 3:47 a.m.

Charges: Possession of SCH II CDS (Methamphetamine)
                 Violation of Uniform CDS Law (Drug-Free Zone)

Patrol Officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to an investigation being conducted. While conducted that investigation officers came in contact with Kevin Rodriguez. According to reports, Rodriguez was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine. The area where this incident took place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jaye Bliss, 28 years of age, address: Watkins St. Berwick, La., arrested on 07/15/2017 @ 11:15 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 01/12/2016

Jaye Bliss was transported from the Berwick Police Department to the Morgan City Jail and arrested on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Bliss was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Robert M. Sizemore III, 28 years of age, address: Ann St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/16/2017 @ 1:18 a.m.

Charges: Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                Obstruction of Public Passages

Patrol officers responded to the area of LA 182 in regards to a subject running in the middle of the highway and obstructing traffic. A description of the subject was obtained and when patrol officers arrived in the area they located Robert M. Sizemore III crossing the highway and identified him as a suspect. Sizemore III was found to be in an intoxicated state. Sizemore III was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Susan Ardoin, 57 years of age, address: Second St. Berwick, La., arrested on 07/16/2017 @ 11:43 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Failure to Return Leased Merchandise

Susan Ardoin was located and arrested in the area of Second St. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from charges being filed by the alleged victim when Ardoin allegedly did not return leased equipment to the victim. Ardoin was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Charges: Possession of SCH III CDS (Suboxone)
                  Disturbing the Peace

Patrol officers responded to the Lake End Park in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and according to reports, Carl R. Miller was located and identified as the suspect causing the disturbance. Miller was observed by officers yelling profane language.  Miller was also found to be in an intoxicated state and was in possession of suspected Suboxone which he did not have a valid prescription for. Miller was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Addie G. Breaux, 35 years of age, address: Shell Beach Rd. Pierre Part, La., arrested on 07/16/2017 @ 7:04 p.m.

                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 02/11/2016

Patrol officers responded to a local hotel in the area of LA 182 in regards to assisting the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office with an investigation. Officers arrived and according to reports, located were Kasey Thomas, Addie Breaux, and Austin Albarado.  Reports indicate that officers located suspected Methamphetamine, suspected Marijuana, suspected Meloxicam, and drug paraphernalia.  Evidence was uncovered linking Albarado, Thomas, and Breaux to the suspected marijuana and methamphetamine and Thomas to the drug paraphernalia and suspected Meloxicam. Thomas and Breaux were also found to be in possession of stolen property from Assumption Parish which led to the initial investigation. The area where this incident took place was within a Drug-Free Zone. Albarado, Thomas, and Breaux were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Addie M. Guidry, 38 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/16/2017 @ 11:14 p.m.

Charges: Criminal Trespassing
                 Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of Sixth St. in regards to a complaint of criminal trespassing. According to reports, officers arrived and learned that the complainant located Addie M. Guidry swimming in their pool when they arrived home. Guidry was found to be in an intoxicated state. Guidry was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Demetrius R. Green, 28 years of age, address: Mike Dr. Patterson, La., arrested on 07/17/2017 @ 12:10 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 05/13/2017

Demetrius R. Green was located and arrested in the area of Fifth St. on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Green was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 32 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/12/2017:

Courtney Chenevert, 34 years of age, address: Keith St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/11/2017 @ 11:38 p.m.

Charges: Speeding 42 m.p.h. in a 25 m.p.h. zone

                 Resisting an Officer
                 Battery on an Officer
                 No Insurance

Patrol officers observed a vehicle traveling 42 m.p.h. in a 25 m.p.h. zone in the area of Sixth Street. A stop was initiated at a residence in the area of Onstead St. at which time female later identified as Courtney Chenevert exited her vehicle and began walking past the officers attempting to enter the residence. Chenevert refused officers orders at which time the officer attempted to detain her. Reports indicate that Chenevert began to pull way and resist. Chenevert was placed under arrest and handcuffed at which time she allegedly committed a battery on the officer. The vehicle that Chenevert was observed operating had a license plate that was registered to another vehicle, no insurance as required by Louisiana Law, and Chenevert’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Chenevert was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Alexis Nino, 24 years of age, address: West Green Jay, Pharr, TX., arrested on 07/12/2017 @ 3:55 a.m.

Charges: Aggravated Assault

Fabian Reyes, 27 years of age, address: NK Center St. McAllen, TX., arrested on 07/12/2017 @ 3:55 a.m.

                 Aggravated Assault

Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and reports indicated that Alexis Nino and Fabian Reyes were identified as suspects. Reyes allegedly struck the victim during the disturbance and threatened them with a knife. During the altercation, Nino allegedly threatened the victim with a chair. Nino and Reyes were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated. These arrests are connected to the same incident involving Gerardo Martinez Jr. as reported on yesterday’s arrest report.

Ronald Gibbs, 26 years of age, address: St. Amant St. Sorrento, La., arrested on 07/12/2017 @ 3:44 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Warrant: Improper Turning

Ronald Gibbs was located and arrested in the area of South Railroad Ave. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division in May of 2017 when a stop was initiated in the area of Ditch Ave due to an improper turn that was negotiated. Reports indicate that Ronald Gibbs was identified as the operator of the vehicle and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The investigation continued and warrants were prepared for Gibbs’ arrest. Gibbs was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Edward Chapman, 52 years of age, address: Glenwood St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/12/2017 @ 6:44 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                 Improper Turning

Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division observed a vehicle negotiate an improper turn in the area of Chennault St. A stop was initiated a stop was initiated in the area of James St. and reports indicate that Edward Chapman was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Chapman was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Chapman was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Raul Neverez 07132017
Raul O. Nevarez, 54 years of age, address: Mallard St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/12/2017 @ 6:23 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: Simple Burglary

Raul O. Nevarez was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. Nevarez was featured in Morgan City Police Departments “Most Wanted” yesterday. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted on July 3, 2017, by the Morgan City Police Department Patrol Division where officers responded to a business in the area of LA 182 in regards to a burglary. Reports indicate that the officer arrived and learned that a vehicle had been burglarized and items were missing. The investigation continued and Raul O. Nevarez was developed as a suspect. Evidence was obtained linking Nevarez to the crime. Warrants were prepared for Nevarez’s arrest. Nevarez was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

A patrol officer observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182. A registration check of that vehicle indicated that the license plate displayed belonged to another vehicle. The vehicle was also observed swerving within its lane cross the center and fog lines. According to reports, officers activated their emergency lights to initiate a stop.  The driver refused to stop traveling on US 90 and took the Bayou Bouef exit just east of Amelia, La. The St. Mary Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation. Upon exiting off the bridge the vehicle pulled into a parking lot of a business located on LA 662. Jerell A. Jones was identified as the operator of the vehicle and was taken into custody. Reports indicate that Jones was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The vehicle that Jones was operating was found to have no insurance as required by Louisiana Law, no registration, and no motor vehicle inspection. Jones’ Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension. Jones was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Christine Hughes, 33 years of age, address: Vivian St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/10/2017 @ 10:19 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. to Pay Fine on 01/06/2015

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Federal Ave. with improper lighting. A stop was initiated and Lisa L. Guerrero was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Guerrero was found to have an expired Louisiana Driver’s License, no insurance, and the license plate displayed was registered to another vehicle. It was also found that Guerrero held active warrants for her arrest through the 16th Judicial Court. Christine Hughes was an occupant in the vehicle and it was found that she held active warrants for her arrest through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Guerrero and Hughes were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Areana C. Candanedo was located and arrested at the Morgan City Jail on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Candanedo was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Jessica B. Hue, 34 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/13/2017 @ 09:00 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Probation Violation

Jessica B. Hue was located and arrested at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Hue was transported to the Morgan City Police Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Joey P. Levron, 34 years of age, address: Second St. Lockport, La., arrested on 07/13/2017 @ 9:30 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Distribution of Methamphetamine

Patrol officers responded to the area of Aycock St. in regards to a crash. During the investigation, Joey Levron was identified as one of the subjects involved in the crash. It was learned during an NCIC check that Levron held active warrants for his arrest through the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office. Levron was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Niki D. Freia, 34 years of age, address: Laurel St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/13/2017 @ 7:16 p.m.

Charges: Warrant: F.T.A. for Revocation Hearing on 05/05/2017

Niki D. Freia was located and arrested in the area of Leona St. on active arrest warrants held by the 16th Judicial Court. Freia was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Jordan Granger, 28 years of age, address: N. Everett St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/13/2017 @ 9:07 p.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana
                Warrant: F.T.A. for Arraignment on 05/23/2017

Officers with the Morgan City Bike Patrol came in contact with Jordan Granger in the area of Federal Ave. According to reports, Granger was found to hold active warrants for his arrest through the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Granger was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Granger was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Varice K. Richardson, 23 years of age, address: Friendship Alley, Amelia, La., arrested on 07/13/2017 @ 10:06 p.m.

Varice K. Richardson was located and arrested at the Morgan City Jail on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. Richardson was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Anthony Arizmendi, 21 years of age, address: Eighth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/13/2017 @ 11:44 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 No Driver’s License
                 Open Container in a motor vehicle

Officers with the Morgan City Bike Patrol were investigating a complaint in the area Ditch Ave. While doing so a vehicle pulled up behind an unmarked police unit and blew the horn for the vehicle to move. Officers attempted to direct the subject around the unmarked police car but they did not move. Contact was made with the operator of the vehicle Anthony Arizmendi. According to reports, Arizmendi was found to be in an intoxicated state. Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted which Arizmendi performed poorly. Arizmendi was found not to possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s License and an open container was located in the vehicle. Arizmendi was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Test which he refused. Arizmendi was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Blaze A. Guerrero, 17 years of age, address: Brashear Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/14/2017 @ 1:18 a.m.

Charges: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Officers came in contact with Blaze A. Guerrero in the area of Second St. According to reports, Guerrero was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Guerrero was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Chief James F. Blair reports that over the last 24-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 45 calls for service. The following persons were arrested as a result beginning on 07/11/2017:

Courtland Fullwood, 29 years of age, address: Third St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/11/2017 @ 4:50 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension

Patrol officers observed Courtland Fullwood operating a vehicle in the area of Roderick St. and the officer had knowledge that Fullwood’s Louisiana Driver’s License was under suspension. After confirming, a stop was initiated and Fullwood was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Gerardo Martinez Jr., 26 years of age, address: Fairmont Ave. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/12/2017 @ 03:55 a.m.

Charges: Simple Battery

Patrol officers responded to a local motel in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. Officers arrived and reports indicated that Gerardo Martinez Jr. was identified as a suspect. Martinez Jr. allegedly struck the victim during the disturbance. Martinez Jr. was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Shawn E. McCauley, 40 years of age, address: Francis Ln. Patterson, La., arrested on 07/07/2017 @ 9:21 a.m.

                 Warrant: Telephone Harassment

Patrol officers observed a vehicle in the area of Sixth St. being operated with improper equipment. A stop was initiated and Shawn E. McCauley was identified as the operator of the vehicle. McCauley’s Louisiana Driver’s License was found to be under suspension the license plate on the vehicle was registered to another, and the vehicle McCauley was operating was found to be without insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Reports indicate, that McCauley was acting in a suspicious manner. McCauley began to resist officers and after a short struggle, McCauley was taken into custody. He was found to be in possession of suspected Methamphetamine and suspected Marijuana. The area where this incident had taken place was within a Drug-Free Zone. The warrant stems from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in which McCauley continuously contact the alleged victim numerous times via telephone after being advised not to. Warrants were prepared for McCauley’s arrest. McCauley was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Devonte S. Myles, 23 years of age, address: Robin St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/07/2017 @ 12:17 a.m.

Charges: No Driver’s License
                 No Insurance

The Morgan City Bike Patrol observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Wren St. by Devonte Myles. Myles was known to the officer and the officer had knowledge that Myles did not possess a valid driver’s license from prior dealings. A stop was initiated. The vehicle Myles was operating was found no to have valid insurance as required by Louisiana Law. Myles was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Larry Barnett, 38 years of age, address: 6th St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/07/2017 @ 4:04 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension

                 Warrant: F.T.A. for Revocation on 02/09/2017

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated by Larry Barnett in the area of US 90. Barnett was known to the officer and the officer had knowledge that Barnett’s Louisiana Driver’s License was suspended. A stop was initiated and it was confirmed that Barnett’s driver’s license was in fact under suspension. The vehicle Barnett was operating did not have valid insurance as required by Louisiana Law. It was also found that Barnett held an active warrant for his arrest through the 16th Judicial Court. Barnett was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Heather D. LaCoste was located and arrested in the area of LA 70 on active arrest warrants held by the 6th Ward Morgan City Court. LaCoste was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Crystal R. Swan was located and arrested in the area of Birch St. on active arrest warrants for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Department. Swan was transported to the Morgan City Jail where she was booked and incarcerated.

Robert W. Levitt Jr. was located and arrested in the area of LA 182 on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in May of 2017 when a hit & run crash occurred on LA 70. Evidence was uncovered linking Robert W. Levitt Jr. to the crash. Warrants were prepared for Levitt’s arrest. Levitt was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Ti’ryce Oliney, 20 years of age, address: Terrebonne St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/08/2017 @ 5:10 a.m.

Charges: Simple Battery

Patrol officers responded to the area of Park Rd. in regards to an altercation that had taken place. Officers arrived and reports indicate that the victim was located and found to be injured with several lacerations from a weapon. The investigation continued and Leronika S. Hawkins, Angel Hawkins, and Ti’ryce Oliney were located and identified as suspects. The Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division responded to assist and uncovered evidence linking the trio to the crime. During the altercation, Leronika Hawkins was identified as cutting the alleged victim and discarded of said weapon to avoid detection. Leronika Hawkins, Angel Hawkins, and Ti’Ryce Oliney were arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where they were booked and incarcerated.

Corey Adams, 38 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/08/2017 @ 8:48 a.m.

Charges: Warrant: Criminal Damage to Property ($500 to $5000)

Corey Adams was located and arrested in the area of David Dr. on active arrest warrants held by the Morgan City Police. The warrants stem from an investigation conducted by patrol officers in April of 2017 in which Adams allegedly damaged several items of property belonging to the victim valued at over $2,000. Warrants were prepared for Adams’ arrest. Adams was transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jonathan E. Tuttle, 46 years of age, address: Sandra Ct. Morgan City, La., arrested 07/08/2017 @ 10:44 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Disregard of Traffic Controls
                 Improper Lane Usage

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of Greenwood St. in the opposite lane of travel. The vehicle was also observed failing to stop at a stop sign. A stop was initiated and Jonathan E. Tuttle was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Reports indicate that Tuttle was found to be intoxicated. Tuttle performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Tuttle was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Once at the Morgan City Jail Tuttle submitted to Chemical Test in which he registered .152g% Blood Alcohol Content. Tuttle was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Frank Gamble Jr., 62 years of age, address: Sixth St. Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/08/2017 @ 10:44 p.m.

Charges: Driving while Intoxicated 1st Offense
                 Improper Lane Usage

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of 6th St. in the center of the both lanes of travel. A stop was initiated and reports indicate that Frank Gamble Jr. was identified as the operator of the vehicle. Gamble was found to be in an intoxicated state. Gamble performed poorly on Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Gamble was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail for Chemical Testing. Once at the Morgan City Jail Gamble submitted to Chemical Test which registered .083g% Blood Alcohol Content. Gamble was booked into the Morgan City Jail and incarcerated.

Christopher P. Waguespack, 41 years of age, address: Hwy 182 Morgan City, La., arrested on 07/09/2017 @ 8:40 p.m.

Charges: Sexual Battery
                 Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated
                 Simple Battery

Patrol officers responded to a residence in the area of LA 182 in regards to a disturbance. According to reports, officers learned that Christopher P. Waguespack went to the residence of the alleged victim in an intoxicated state. Waguespack refused the leave and allegedly committed a battery and a sexual battery on the victim. Waguespack was located where he as arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.

Jordon R. Bourque, 29 years of age, address: Liberty Ave. Lafayette, La., arrested on 07/09/2017 @ 10:05 p.m.

Charges: Driving under Suspension
                 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
                 Expired License Plate
                 No Insurance

Patrol officers observed a vehicle being operated in the area of LA 182 and the registration sticker was removed off of the license plate. A stop was initiated and Jordon R. Bourque was identified as the operator of the vehicle. According to reports, it was found that Bourque’s Louisiana Driver’s License was under suspension, the vehicle did not possess valid insurance as required by Louisiana Law, and the registration was expired. Bourque was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bourque was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Jail where he was booked and incarcerated.
